Hello All,

Just found you guys on the net because I was looking for a home now that I bought a Pacifica Hybrid.

I want to buy the Extended Warranty but I am feeling that the dealership is playing games with me on the pricing of it. Was hoping someone could help me out if they know anything about it.

I am buying in Canada (Ontario) so I know the prices are going to be high. I am also looking to get the 5 year 100,000 KM bumper to bumper coverage

The business manager originally told me the MSRP was $2100 and that she was willing to discount it $300, making it $1800. She was firm on that and refused to even listen to me about going lower. I said that I wasn't interested with that discount and she said no problem and we left it at that. I then asked my sales guy to talk to the big boss about a further discount. He did so but the big boss refused to talk to me about it. The sales guy then brought over a second business manager who told me that the MSRP is actually $2500 and that $1800 is a crazy deal and he would have never offered that and I should thank my lucky stars.

So I am curious, does anyone know the MSRP and the Dealer cost of the 5 year 100,000 KM bumper to bumper warranty from Chrysler? It would help me gauge if I am getting played or if it is a good deal.

I am not sure what the current program is but last month ( Feb) in Ontario, chrysler was offering “half off their 5 year 120k gold warranty.
I took it. The dealer did express to me that some dealers just take the profit and don’t pass on the price break. So mine was an extra $1499.
Hope that helps. We also have to remember that every dealer has their own “tools” that they believe work for them. I’m a firm believer in smaller dealerships outside the big cities. Less overhead and less business taxes generally, and rarely any high pressure sales.
Cheers.

I bought a 2017 Limited last year in TOronto. We get 60 000km bumper to bumper or 3 yrs. We get 100 000km On engine and Tran or 5yrs, which ever comes first. They tried to sell me extended for $3000 for 140 000km engine and tran. Don't buy this, waste of money.

If you bought a Hybrid you have a 10 yr waranty on hybrid parts or 160 000km. Might be different now.
