Canada - No lease options?

i just heard from the dealer that a leasing company called SCI is not offering lease to any hybrid vehicle. is anyone here is planning to lease in canada?

I've never leased before but I'm considering it. Mainly because the resale values on all the 1st gen electric cars have been terrible. I'm in BC and I'm hoping I can get into a 3-4 year lease for under $450/month. We don't have the massive purchase discount like Ontario but I believe there's around 5k in BC?
