The wireless carplay sure eats up my phone battery. I was not expecting that. I have to plug in my phone to combat that, which negates the need for the wireless carplay.

Depends on how long trips you take. For me, I tend to drive a while each time I drive so plugging the phone in isnt a big deal, my wife though takes small trips all the time so she really loves the wireless carplay.

It does use a lot of battery, but no different than if you were using your phone on a holder for GPS.

For short trips I don’t find it a problem but for longer runs or towards the end of a busy day I have wireless charging pads which I put my phone on.

I am using a Morphie charging pad, but that is only because I had it already from an old battery case.

I have used some crafting foam to make a cradle for the components to keep everything in place.

Could you confirm the wireless charger still works. I wrote Carplay2Air and they said you could not connect a charger to the dongle USB port. Thanks.

It does work for me.
It is possible that it may not have enough power for some rapid charge pads.
