I'm new here so go easy please. In reading through several threads I've noticed someone from "Chrysler Social Care Specialist" posts and says something about their page. Do they have a place (like a FB page) that one can go and discuss things or is that a figure of speech?

This very forum is a social network ;)

There are a handful of FCA customer support employees that actively monitor and respond to these threads under shared accounts, especially when someone is reporting an issue with the vehicle that may require a trip to the service department. They have proven very friendly and responsive and can help bridge gaps with product teams, local dealerships, etc. If you have need they can be contacted by sending a PM to their account here @ChryslerCares

I do wish that they had a presence on other sister sites to this one like cumminsforum.com :grin2: I have not seen a Chrysler Social Care Specialist (or Ram Social Care Specialist I suppose) engage on that forum. Having them here on Pacificaforums.com has been fantastic.

Hi White Mocha,
@tsax6010 basically summed up who we are (thanks!), we have some team members who monitor Facebook and Twitter as well. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to PM our page and let us know. Also, @tsax6010 we are on some RAM forums but not that specific one. I will send the URL over to my supervisor to look into the possibility of having it added to our list!

Why do you NEED to use the Facebook for everything...?
You have excellent support directly from Chrysler care here in this social and very informative forum.

For the major social network outlets like FaceTwit, companies use "bots" to aggregate key word data in posts that may be negative, and thus may benefit from a proactive olive branch from a customer care rep - all without the end user initiating a conversation with the company except to post something negative in their reference.

So if you post something like:

"Our new Pacifica left us stranded on the side of the road #PieceOfJunkchrysler"

You may find a Chrysler Customer Care representative proactively reaching out to you on said same social network to see if you need their assistance - even though you did not @ mention them or otherwise direct your comment to them. :wink2:

Hello,

We have a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica that we bought brand new from the dealership. From the very beginning of ownership we have experienced problem after problem.

Currently, we are having an issue with out van not starting. This has been going on for a few months now. We’ve had the battery checked and that’s not the issue. It doesn’t start daily but will eventually reset itself and start on the third or fourth try. However, today, this has been ongoing for more than 4 hours now.

We should not be experiencing these kinds of issues in a 2 year old vehicle. This was our first purchase with Chrysler and we are extremely disappointed. We are regretting our decision to purchase this vehicle and wish we had gone with another Honda.

We have contacted the dealership but they will not pay for the tow or provide us with a rental car. This is our only vehicle and we have two small children that need to get two and from school and my husband and myself to work each day.

We have also experienced issues with the transmission and a “jumping” sensation that feels as if we were hit in the rear. Our sliding door only works half of the time and our remote start feature stopped working a while back too.

We have purchased brand new vehicles before and have never experienced these types of issues this early on. I have seen multiple complaints of these same issues in this same Chrysler Pacifica van. This is obviously a manufacture’s issue and we do not fee this van is either reliable or safe. This is completely unacceptable.

Please assist us in getting our vehicle fixed!

If your van is still under warranty I would get the van to the dealer and pay for a rental car if a loaner isn't provided. I think that the things you mentioned should be able to be fixed.

Have you tried Chrysler's Roadside Assistance 1-800-521-2779 to get a jump-start or get the van towed?
"Roadside Assistance For Model Years 2017-2019:
24 Hour Towing Assistance covers jump-starts or towing to the nearest FCA US LLC dealer and is applicable for the term of the manufacturer's warranty period of 5 years or 60,000 miles (gas) or 5 years or 100,000 miles (diesel), whichever comes first."

How was the battery checked? It still sounds like you might need a new battery if the van isn't starting. Have you tried jump starting the van? (Maybe a neighbor or friend would help.) The battery is warrantied for three years and many people have had the battery replaced earlier than expected. I have had two batteries replaced in three years of owning my 2017 Pacifica. If you really can't take the van to the dealer and want to try to replace the battery yourself, that might be an option. There are threads on the forum about changing the battery on a gas Pacifica. Post #41 has a link for a video on changing the battery in a gas Pacifica.

The transmission adaptations can be reset to help the "jumping" sensations and the sliding door parts can be reflashed. I don't know why the remote start isn't working. Check the fob battery just in case it might be an easy fix.

You can try to contact @ChyrslerCares by clicking on the @ChryslerCares letters and send them a private message for more assistance with a dealer. Some things on the forum have changed and I haven't tried to contact them on the new platform. It might take a couple of days for a response from @ChryslerCares.

If you put your van info (year, trim, gas/hybrid, etc.) in the signature line, it will show up at the bottom of each post and assist forum members in helping you. Welcome to the forum. It is probably better to post in a thread related to the problem since I'm not sure @ChryslerCares normally checks this thread. They might this time since I've put @ChryslerCares in it a few times.:)
