Hello - sorry for the vague title... I'm not a car guy so hopefully I'm saying this right. We just got a 2017 Pacifica. The cluster has the rpm gauge, then the computer part, then the speedometer gauge.

Yesterday the computer part in the center turned off and won't turn back on. So we have nothing there other than a dim backlight. That means our fuel gauge is gone, our cruise control settings, etc. and everything else that computer thing does.

And of course we are leaving for vacation in 4 days :) It is Sunday so I'm going to call my salesman today and see if they'll get it in tomorrow morning... but in the meantime:

1. Is there another way to know your gas level without that computer? That's my biggest concern for the trip. I'm assuming cruise control will still work - but just won't be able to use the adaptive speed control (will figure that out today). But again - most curious about the gas. I don't want to go on vacation and run out :)

2. Any other thoughts on this? I don't see that there is an option to turn this off/on ... so I don't think we bumped a button or something that would turn it off.

I did pop the fuse for the cluster and put it back in (cause the battery looked confusing to disconnect) hoping it would reset ... but same thing... when the cluster lights up, we just get a dim backlight where the computer part should be and nothing ever appears there.

Thx in advance for any help!!!

What version do you have? In all versions, there is a TFT screen in the back. Just like your phone or tablet's screen, but using TFT (which is easier to see in the sunlight). Sounds like the video relay went out inside it which explains why the dim light is still on it. In LED screens, they use LED light around the edge of the video screen to light it up. I believe TFT uses the same tech.

Did you by chance to a hard reset? Wonder if that would work for the center screen too? Worse case, they have to replace that screen. Should be easy relatively speaking.

Thanks for the reply! Dealership is closed today so didn't get anywhere there yet (calling them first thing tomorrow morning). Not sure on the version - is there an easy way to tell? It was in color ... had like a yellow/red/green gauge showing gas, etc.... (sorry I'm a total moron on this!).

When you say hard reset - how do you go about that? We've had the car off and on of course.... and I did pop the fuse for a few minutes (and replace with a different 15 amp one) but no difference from that. Is there another way to initiate a hard reset more like a computer?

Thx again for taking the time to reply - we did find that cruise control does work so that's good... but could be a fun vacation if we have no idea how much gas is or isn't in the thing... of course the odometer is part of that same screen so can't even tell how many miles we drive (so calculating when the tank might be empty could be tricky)

Thought I'd put an update here to close out this thread - it did end up being a bad cluster. Brought it in yesterday at 7:30 AM to Expressway Dodge in Evansville, IN. They had to order a part which could take between 2 to 4 days to arrive. Then they offered me a vehicle to go on vacation with as they knew we were in a bit of a bind. Just got a call today that the part actually came in, it is installed already and ready for pickup (just over 24 hours start to finish!!)

So can't say enough good things about Expressway Dodge in Evansville, IN. They really know how to take care of customers!!

Thanks everyone for the advice/help on here - good to know there is a community of Pacifica owners out there!!!
