Hi Vgladden,
We certainly understand why this may be frustrating. Are you considering having your dealer address this? If so, please feel free to send our team a private message. We would be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist.

Click on your profile button in top right. Then select Conversations. Click "Start Conversation" and then input Chrysler Cares (field will auto populate as you type) in the recipient field. From there it should be pretty self-explanatory.

Same exact thing is happening with my wife’s ‘19 Pacifica started two weeks ago. It renders the car useless when this alarm is sounding in the cabin. She had to borrow a neighbor’s car to take my daughter back to college so she didn’t have to listen to it for a four hour round trip.

We took it to our local dealer this week and they said it is a known issue on their “Star Report” as case number S1908000048 released on May 20th, 2019, but they also said we are their first case like this. The star report states to the Chrysler dealers, “Do not replace radio. A radio reset by pulling radio fuse or battery disconnect corrects the concern. A future radio software enhancement will correct this concern. Tentative availability 3rd quarter.”

This might be the most rediculous fix someone could come up with at Chrysler. Who the **** has time to pull fuses and disconnect batteries?!! Are you kidding me?! And as far and the Chrysler care people saying they understand our concern, the third quarter is up, so where is this update?! Someone at Chrysler has zero concern.

Any jury in the world would decide that Chrysler and their dealers would be negligent when one of their customers with this issue got hit by, or hit an emergency vehicle due to not being able to here the emergency sirens. In any case, who can pay attention to the road while this alarm is constantly ringing? If anyone on this thread gets in an accident, tell your lawyers about this, and I guarantee you and your insurance companies will win. Chrysler, you’re rolling the dice and using people’s lives as your collateral.

I’ve started my own case with Chrysler, with my own case a manager, who will be contacting me in the next 24 hours I was told. But now late yesterday I asked the dealer how this isn’t a safety issue in their eyes, and they told me they called the Chrysler recall department direct and they said their service department is doing exactly what they are supposed to by telling customers there’s a new software version coming soon hopefully and to disconnect their batteries or let the car sit for an hour before driving.

Before someone from Chrysler Care tells me that they understand and to IM them, save it and just tell me how to escalate this.
My next step is to send a complaint to the NTSB. If anyone else would like to report Chrysler, it’s w w w . safecar . gov

I might sound hot, but it’s mostly because it’s not even my car That I drive everyday, but my wife won’t stop asking me how we’re going to fix this because she

Hi Matt herbst,

We're very sorry to hear of your concerns! Have you had the chance to schedule your next dealer visit? If you can confirm an appointment, we would be glad to escalate a case to our internal handling team where they would be able to work alongside your dealer while your vehicle is in service. Please feel free to send us a private message.

I also have this issue on my 2019 gas limited. Sometimes a constant annoying tone playing on speakers, sort of like an amber alert, that only goes away if turn volume to zero. No radio on/off or engine off/on fixes it. Happens on every audio option. Only fix is keep car off for extended period, ie. Come back in few hours. Then wait a few days until starts happening again, about once a week. This car has the 20 speaker option with bigger amp... is it only occurring on vans with this?
What is Chrysler's answer/fix for this?

Have you tried the radio fuse pull fix? Does your dealer now have the software update fix?

Sitting at dealership right now actually. They are looking for any update available. The star report number was invaluable, thank you for that. I'll need to ask which fuse is radio fuse. Does it lose presets when do it?

Fuse 76 covers the whole radio head. I've found that sneezing too hard causes my presets to get lost, so I keep a 3x5 card in the glove box (along with the Kleenex) with that information.

They updated the uconnect or radio for the backup camera recall and are hoping it addresses the tone in speaker issue. I think they were hoping as the star issue didn't have a fix version listed, just estimate of 3Q2019(ie. 5 months ago). We shall see if it happens again. Thanks

Hi Kilroy,

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this with your camera. Have you been working with your dealer to get this inspected? Send me a direct message as we'd be glad to discuss this further.

I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Touring and am experiencing this issue. I bought the vehicle new only a few months ago. This is ridiculous to have such an annoying sound while trying to have radio on. Sorry yet this issue by now should have some sort of recall and fix.

Have you brought your Pacifica to the attention of a dealer for diagnosis and repair yet, Kari? If not, we recommend doing so as soon as you can to allow the dealer team the chance to pinpoint the cause of this. Once an appointment is set, let us know. We are happy to help further from there.

Hi,

Since this morning, my radio keeps beeping constantly when something is playing on it; I tried playing music from my phone and the beeping was there too. If I mute the radio the beeping goes away and there are no warning/alert signs on any of the screens.

Does any one have any idea what is happening?

I have a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited.

Regards,
Aydin
I just purchased a 2018 Pacifica Limited and had the problem yesterday. I have not tried to pull the fuse or disconnect the battery but does anyone know if the update for the problem has been made available yet?

I got a new version of uConnect courtesy of the recall for the backup camera persisting beyond shifting from reverse. Immediately, instead of a constant beep, I got awful distortion from all sound sources. As mentioned, leaving the vehicle off overnight fixed the problem.
