Our 2017 has a terrible creaking and popping noise coming from the front end upon reverse, turning and acceleration. Seems to be worse when car is “loaded”. Anyone else? Diagnosed? Our VIN is not included in the V15 recall but it sounds suspiciously similar...

I had the dreaded click/pop issue upon backing up with the wheel at full lock. After three different dealerships and five attempts, it was finally rectified by the TSB that places green Loctite on the front hub somewhere. Other members have noted the specific TSB that addresses the issue and here's the kicker: Finding a dealership that actually does the TSB correctly is a real treat. The final dealership that successfully performed it said that the previous two never did a darn thing and reused the one time use only axle nut. They even showed me pictures of the used nut and no signs of green Loctite anywhere. While I'm not thrilled at the thought that Loctite is the answer, it has completely eliminated the sounds.

After owning several Chrysler/Dodge/Ram products over the last twenty years I can say that the issues are not normally that the cars are junk, it's that their service departments are horrendous. They can rarely, if ever, address the issue at hand even when presented with ride alongs, pre-printed TSB's, videos, etc.... Find a service department that actually knows their **** and has experienced technicians on staff and hold on to them for dear life.
