Installed these bright white Cree LED reverse lights yesterday:

A lot nicer and brighter than the stock bulbs. Also brightens your rear view at night when using the backup camera. Easy and cheap mod.

Great job. Looks good. How is the color in comparison to the license plate lights? Does the light color match?

It's not an exact match but definitely closer than the stock reverse bulbs. You'd have to get down on your knee to look up at the license plate lights while the van is in reverse to really tell the slight difference.

Looks good but appears blue-ish/purple-ish in pictures. Brake and turn signal led conversion should be next. :)
Yeah. They're definitely whiter in person than my close ups. See pic 5.

I'll look up those bulbs next and see if they're easy to get to and replace.

How much room is there for a reverse bulb? Do you think these would be too long?

I was actually a little worried at first with the length when I received it but there's room to spare for these longer bulbs. I can only speak on the bulbs I purchased and can't say for certain if the ones you found are any longer. I should have measured mine in length before installing.

The JDM Stars looks a lot brighter too. Let us know how it goes!

Looks great! What was entailed in getting to the bulbs?
There are 2 plastic covers on the inner lift gate located behind the bulbs. I just used my fingernails to pry it open. Note that the passenger side cover has an led overhead light that you'll want to disconnect to get easier access to the bulb.

I would be highly surprised if they were Cree... it might have one Cree forward firing led, but the rest are SMD.

They arrived today, and they do look pretty long. I'll see if they fit tonight. Here's a pic next to a pen for size reference. It's crazy how many LEDs are on these things.

I just installed the JDM Astar bulbs, and all I can say is WOW! They're a lot bigger than the stock bulbs, but they have no issue fitting at all. Here's a pic after just changing the driver's side, a pic after changing both, and a pic of the rear camera in the dark. It's almost like daylight!
