At 5,000 miles I took my van in for servicing. The shop I purchased it from checked the alignment saying it was off so they fixed it without rotating the tires. Today at 12,500 miles I took it to my local shop for a rotation. The guys told me my rear tires were cupping and didn't recommend putting them on the front. They think the first shop might not aligned it correctly. (The first shop did take 2.5hrs with three guys trying to align it.) Anyone ever have this issue? The van rides smooth so I've never noticed.

Did the dealer give you a spec sheet prior to alignment . The spec sheet gives you the parameters for the tires on all corners . The only way they would know alignment was off was by tire wear on 4 corners . And cupping tires doesn’t necessarily mean that the alignment is off , tire pressure , tire load , driving habits , etc .

The van was pulling to the right is why they checked it. He showed me the left rear was out of line on the machine. When he corrected it the other three were then out. The first tech came to apologize because it had been over two hours at that moment. I went back in the shop where he showed me everything was in red and told me they had three guys on it trying to figure out the issue. I waited another 30 plus minutes and he drove my van around saying it was all good now. The pulling to the right wasn't as bad.

My van is a wheelchair conversion. The alignment was done there as it was covered under my first year free services.
