Anyone know if the conquest or loyalty $1000 incentives are active for retail purchases? I can't find them listed at edmunds or NADA. They were there in Nov. Did they maybe push that $1000 to customer cash because everyone was already a conquest or loyalty customer anyway? I see it went from $500 in Nov to $1500 for Dec.

I called the Chrysler incentive number and they confirmed there is no conquest or loyalty incentive this month for retail purchase. Only conquest for leasing.

That's what I was thinking when I saw they bumped the retail cash up from $500 to $1500. Now if you take a special rate from Chrysler Capital, you lose $1500 instead of $500, which is unfortunate. Though it does make it more attractive to take a higher rate and refinance or pay it off immediately.

We did our deal in Nov so they are honoring those incentives and 0% financing. $1000 loyalty, $1000 sam's club, $100 AMEX, and $500 that goes with the 36 month 0% APR.
You should be able to get an extra $500 if you don't go with the 0% APR. That may or may not be worth it, depending on your situation.

Yeah I keep going back and forth on it. I don't plan on carrying the note more than six months. Best I can tell from Chrysler they do 4.04% for 72 months. Which isn't bad and I think taking the $500 and paying it off quickly is maybe the way to go. I haven't crunched the numbers exactly to know if in 6 months I'll be ahead of the interest by taking the $500.

With my trade I'm looking at $15K to finance. When my wife has our third baby at the end of March I'll pay it off. Stockpiling cash until she pops....haha.

I just ran an amortization calculator and in 6 months I'd still be ahead of the interest by $200. I'm not sure its worth it. I like the idea of just paying a higher payment with straight principal at 0% for 36 months.

What cracks me up is in the dealership they had a hard time figuring me out because I told them I could care less about what the payment is and just wanted the lowest selling price I could get. They kept going back to what the "monthly" number would be while negotiating.

You can do a shorter term for a better rate if you're going to pay it off anyway. I did 24 months at 2.5%, but paid it off a week later anyway.

That makes my blood boil. I told one dealer that they don't need to worry about the monthly payment, and if they try to bring up monthly payments again, I'm walking out. They couldn't help themselves. It was only about 3 minutes later that I walked out.

I think I'm going to wait until January to see what they offer. Incentives don't seem the greatest right now. I've heard at one time they were offering a conquest rebate for Toyota (we have two) and Honda owners but have never actually seen that in writing, even if it expired. Same for a crossover SUV (which is one of our Toyota's) conquest rebate.

The Sam's club rebate going away is the only thing that worries me but there are other TDM rebates out there that could be used in its place.

When I was younger, I once pre-emptively drew the four square chart and wrote I/Don't/F*?king/Care in the boxes before he could take out his worksheet.

Information has spread so much, like on this forum, plenty of people offering dealers invoice minus holdback on a build. Take it or leave it.

Congrats on the pending arrival! The only reason you'd elect the higher payment with straight principal paydown is to preserve the option to pay over time. The difference in savings is just your "cost" of capital. It's still "financing" even though it's 0.00%

We are picking ours up today and we are supposedly getting $1,000 for owning a Nissan Xterra. I've had 2 dealerships confirm this rebate.....

Chrysler cash $1,500
Finance: $5,00
For owning a Nissan Xterra ($1,000)
Dealer Coupon ($500) x 2: $1,000
Sams Club: $1,000

No, it's the new $5k rebate, haven't you heard? :wink2: I was thinking of what my total rebates were when I typed in the sam's.... fixed
Still a great deal! :) The conquest cash for specific brands is weird. Several people have reported it but it seems like it's for different brands in different locations, if at all. I really wish Chrysler made it easier for us to figure out the incentives.

The dealer I negotiated with showed there's still and additional $1000 if you have certain brands like VW or Toyota. The general $1000 conquest was folded in to make the rebate $1500. In LA (and SF according to Chrysler.com) there's another $500 bonus for VW, Toyota, etc. owners.

Bunch of poo. Using zip code 90210 (lol), there are $1,500 more in rebates than here in the midwest.
