Disable or a workaround re:brake torque feature?

.
I did a search and couldn't find any information hence this post.

I would like to disable the cause of the engine cutting power abruptly when the brake and throttle are applied simultaneously at very very slow speeds. i.e.: when backing up to line up my trailer on a small incline I like to "two foot" the brake and accelerator at the same time, so I can move towards the trailer ball with smooth/controlled progress.
If I keep the brake lightly applied and try and add a little throttle, engine power is cut abruptly until I release the brake pedal resulting in a herky jerky result :(

Appreciate any constructive/helpful ideas and/or solutions.

It's required by law for cars to have this feature now thanks to the unintended acceleration issues a number of years ago. As far as I know, there is no way to disable it, though I have heard that an aftermarket refresh of the ECU can be programmed to remove the feature, but that is usually done on performance cars and I doubt there is anyone who has done it for a Pacifica

I left foot brake all the time, something I learned from Rally driving school a long time ago, I was really bummed when they added this feature to cars, but I have been doing it for so long I am good at smoothly transitioning between the throttle and the brake.

Thanks Rider1 and Mo Pho for explaining this. I haven't noticed it in the Pacifica yet but it absolutely drives me nuts in my Genesis Coupe. I hate, HATE this behavior and just thought it was a design bug.
