Since we are all in the dark on the real status of the Hybrids and CRSs or dealers proving to have no answers for us either, I was wondering if somebody has a contact with some main stream auto journalist, who could reach out to Chrysler to get an official answer on the status (and reason for the delay) on the delivery?

Actually, I have done work for all of the big car magazines in the US and know lots of journalists, but honestly, this is not something I would ask of them right now. As noted it's not really a story of public interest (especially for enthusiast publications) and it's not "that" delayed yet or unusual for such delays to happen.

I haven't heard anything official about a delay. I hope it isn't long if there is one. I recall in 2009 when I was waiting for the Volt Rollout how disheartening it was when they announced the slow distribution and "certain states" were getting them for the first 9 months or so.:smile2: As I have stated before, my dealer was consistent since last December and has always told me that they would be showing up at dealerships late March mid-April, I was surprised to see a couple of people posting here have one already? Also, why anyone was quoting the standard delivery timeline on these? I just went to my dealer last week and he is still saying most likely closer to mid-April. I am perusing the blog to gain insight from early deliveries on specifics of real world use. I am definitely hoping to get some "hands on" with the first Platinum my dealer gets.

To add, I know they did the short lead media drive event in LA for the hybrid, so that means they have it pretty sorted out and it must be close as they wouldn't want journalists to be driving examples with issues so close to the cars hitting the street

Did Chrysler announced an actual release date of Hybrids? To my knowledge, they said it will be release sometime in 2017, but no actual dates. So really no delays to the public. Only to the once who has orders placed.
Pretty much true. There was never an announced release date to the best of my knowledge. That said, Chrysler Customer Service has given us ship dates, build dates, etc. that never happen. Therein lies the frustration for those of us who have had cars ordered. Ordered mine 20Dec16
