Uconnect gen 4 does support it but no Pacificas to date have gen 4. It is in the 2017 Charger, 300 and Challenger.Uconnect gen 4 is supposed to support this, has anyone had a chance to try it and confirm it is or is not supported?
I'm not sure I understand the question. You'll be able to connect your iPhone and her Android phone to Uconnect via Bluetooth. But Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not available.Ok, I have a iPhone, but my wife, the primary driver is android. So what does that mean to her?

Here's a good primer.Ok, so BT phones works. I never had a car with either carplay or android auto. So what are those?
Slacker is available through the Uconnect "via Mobile" app (along with Pandora, Aha, and iHeartRadio). It uses your phone's data connection, but all of the control is through Uconnect. For Spotify, you're probably stuck with Bluetooth.Next I have to figure out how best to listen to Slacker, Spotify, or the like from either the iphone app over Bluetooth, but better directly from uconnect3 or over a USB cable connection to the iphone. Bluetooth streaming is not the best for fidelity from my limited experience with modern cars.
I have found it useful and she tends to pick up what I'm saying pretty well when I'm just speaking directly forwardand for Pacifica in 2017, although not new, "Siri hands free" sounds interesting for basic integration with an iphone via the steering wheel button....
Siri is actually using the microphone in the rearview mirror, so speaking directly forward is what you want to do. No need to try to talk towards your phone. It also means that you can leave your phone in a pocket or purse, which is nice.I have found it useful and she tends to pick up what I'm saying pretty well when I'm just speaking directly forward
Songs yes, videos no. Unless you have Uconnect Theater and you're plugging it in via HDMI.So...if I plug in my iPhone, can I watch video and songs on the system?
Just curious... If I have one of those dedicated wifi hotspots that plugs into the OBD port of the car, does the Pacifica have the capability of automatically connecting to that for Slacker or Pandora streaming? Or does it pull that signal in through the Bluetooth tether of the phone?Slacker is available through the Uconnect "via Mobile" app (along with Pandora, Aha, and iHeartRadio). No, it would have to be via bluetooth tether. Uconnect doesn't connect to wifi hotspots and it wouldn't be able to via OBD-II ports.Just curious... I'm not sure if this has been confirmed yet. I'm hoping the 2018 will have gen 4 with CarPlay support (along with adjustable tailgate height). One can hope ;-)the hybrid doesn't even have the gen 4 radio? wtf is FCA doing?
Uconnect 3 has been confirmed for the 2017. Nothing confirmed yet for 2018.I'm not sure if this has been confirmed yet. I'm hoping the 2018 will have gen 4 with CarPlay support (along with adjustable tailgate height). One can hope ;-)
