So this just happened when my wife went to get in the van after buying coffee. Our dealership has no loaner vehicles and my wife has our 1 year old and can't sit around and wait so now we have to wait until Saturday to bring it in. What fun! Starting to get really frustrated at the problems we're coming across....

If the dealer doesn't have loaners, they should be able to arrange a rental.

Unless you're talking about the dealer paying for the rental, I disagree. When i bring my car in because something broke that shouldn't have, and its still under warranty, you better believe that I'm not going to pay to use a car while you fix the issue.

Hi bina12834,

Sorry to hear about this! Echoing generaltso we'd recommend asking your dealership if they are affiliated with a rental agency. Please let me know what they say, I'd be happy to look into this further for you if they aren't.

ChryslerCares,

I certainly will let you know what they say. We actually changed our appointment to today so I should have an answer for you shortly.

Dealership still has my Pacifica. Said they needed to order a part to repair the door handle. This was Friday we were told this. Have called multiple times to get an update and every time I'm told my service person is with another customer and he will give me a call back. Have not received 1 call back. Both my wife and I have jobs and we have a 1 year old and have been having to deal with 1 car as a result of this. ChryslerCares, could really use you to step in here. This is the last time I'm visiting this dealership. Very disappointed.

Can you believe it I actually got a call back! Unfortunately the service rep told me that the part was on back order and wouldn't be in until Friday. Nice to know now since they have had my Pacifica since last Thursday. After getting denied for a loaner since i 'don't have a service contract' and the service rep hmm-ing and hawing he finally came to the decision that our van has low miles (no duh its 6 months old) and that its under warranty (again, the 6 months thing) and that he would speak to the service manager about covering a rental for us. A few mins later i get a call back and they say that they can put me in a rental. This is all great for the next few days but what about the past 5 days that you've had my car? The mileage and warranty situation didn't just change today. It had low miles and was under warranty when i dropped it off 5 days ago. If they are willing to cover a rental now because of those factors they should have put us in a rental from day 1. Instead, over the past 3 weekdays (last Friday, yesterday and today) my wife has had to take hours out of her days to drive in and pick me up from work since we only have 1 car and she has the pleasure of taking care of our 1 year old all day and needs said car.

Needless to say this will still be the last time we visit this dealership for any needs...big or small.

Hi bina12834,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience however I'm glad they decided to cover a rental vehicle for you while you wait for your part. If you have any additional questions or concerns going forward please PM our page and let me know.
