I've had my Pacifica seat track replaced. Didn't move but made a grinding noise as the electric seat was moved towards back.

Do you mind telling if you waited for the car while they did the repair. I am taking it for couple of issues, not sure if they can take care all of it while I wait. I believe Chrysler dealers don't provide a loaner car.

They do if you have an extended warranty.

If your dealership has loaner vehicles available, you should be able to get one of those. Your dealership may also partner with an Enterprise for rental vehicles in place of a loaner program, and if they have it, that option would be available to you as well, especially on a brand new vehicle.

Kori, is that Chrysler's official policy, even without an extended warranty? Or is it always decided on a case by case basis?

Not all dealerships have loaners or a relationship with Enterprise, but if they do, and the vehicle is within the basic warranty, then the customer should be considered for a loaner/rental. Sometimes the dealerships will look at whether the vehicle was actually purchased at their dealership and they give preference to those vehicles. So in a sense, it is case-by-case, but we can definitely try to help if the dealership is not being accommodating.

Interesting. So, in this case, does the dealership pay for the rental or does Chrysler?

Rentals can be submitted under warranty. Loaners are the dealership's vehicle, so I don't quite know what protocol is, and it probably differs from dealer to dealer.

I own a 2014 Chrysler Tn & Country Limited and I get it serviced at a Chrysler dealership that is not the one I purchased it from. The one time that I had a repair (covered repair under the factory 3yr/36mi bumper to bumper warranty) that required leaving the vehicle over night, the dealership set me up with a rental car from Enterprise at no cost to me. I did not buy the Mopar extended warranty when I purchased this van new, and they still gave me a rental car for the duration of the repair. I don't think they would give me a rental car for an oil change or something simple like that, but I never asked... For simple repairs or routine maintenance, I'd rather book the 1st appointment in the morning (usually 8am) and get in and get out, rather than have to drive back and forth to the dealership. If I can't get their 1st appt. of the day for the day that I'm looking for, then I ask them to schedule me for the 1st available day that an 8am appt. is open. I find that if you arrive for a scheduled appt. that starts in the middle of or later in the day, there are so many things that could go wrong (and usually do) with the service appts. prior to yours, that you end up getting stuck there twice as long as you otherwise would have...
