Hey!

So i have been having issues with my driver side sliding door starting a few months after purchase (~7/2016)- my vehicle has been to the dealership 3 times (its there currently) for a running total of 12 week to date- the motor has been replaced 6 times and we are still having the same issue.

my driver side sliding door will just open... and when im closing it it "beep beep beep" and opens back up--- it does this ~3 times before it will close and latch. any one else having this issues? anyone had these issues solved? i have 3 small girls and its concerning that my door wont close/ keeps opening up when we are out and about

Have you checked the sensor outside the door? Maybe the foot sensor has something stuck in the sensor? Or the sensor could be malfunction and needs to be replaced. The next step would be the door handle, check if its stuck or and gunk stuck inside. Or replace handle and foot sensor.

This is my guess, hopefully the dealer has sorted out the problem. The motor replaced 6 times sounds like they bullshitting you. They should have checked the sensors too.

Ugh that’s a nasty scratch. Any luck in resolving your issue? My tech currently has my door apart and unable to determine the source of the problem. I hope you are able to get some assistance in getting your scratch repaired.

I also have a bubbles on hood paint issue and the dealer promise me to fix everything in one shot as soon as he get a positive answer from Chrysler. BTW I waiting for this answer three weeks already.

I don't know what is official inspection. Dealer just told me that he made a photos and sent it to Chrysler.
My file is already with Case Specialist for this three weeks but no changes still. I have a lot of issues and almost nothing were fixed - paint issue, sliding door issue, clicking steering noice (cv joints). Also while my dealer try to fix something he break something - deep scrath on sliding door frame, crack on panel in the trunk.
I think I need to switch my dealer, no luck with current.

I had only the scratching issue. In my case the dealership handled it well and fixed it quickly and repaired the scratch.

This is not true. Please see pictures with date and time. Scratch, hood, sliding door, panel, cv joint, side marker. Nothing fixed, only promises to fix. Dealer know about everything.

She called the dealer today and was only able to leave a message. She plans to connect with them again tomorrow if she doesn't hear back today. I went on the internet tonight to see if anyone else is having the same driver's side slide door problem as we are and it's the exact description as Shard. We purchased our 6th minivan (2017 Limited) this past Christmas and for the past several months THE EXACT SAME thing, we can attempt to shut the door from the overhead console, key fob, or directly from the door and sometimes it will randomly not shut...Meaning it will go through the process but just at the point of latching it will reverse, and beep like an obstruction is there. We can repeat the process 2 or 3 times and then it will shut. It's random and does not happen all of the time. My wife and I happen to be off today and it happened twice this morning so a ran by the dealership to inquiry about a recall, or notice and they had not heard of anything or even the issue. We were advised to make an appointment and leave it but obviously if it can't be replicated at the dealership then it's a guess unless it a known issue with a resolution. Now, what was even more worry some tonight was that I was getting gas and while standing with the gas pump in hand the driver's side door attempted to open on its own; the interlocks prevented it and the door latched back. My hands were out of my pockets, standing still and nothing pressing the FOB. This makes me question a few other open door occurrences. On 2 or 3 occasions I have gone outside to see the driver's side door open including at least one time over night. I don't know if the door was not closed at all (kids), didn't latch and reversed open after pressing to close, or whether the door may have popped open after being closed. There has not been any other issues with the right side door or hatch

Any update on the driver side door opening? We purchased a 2018 Pacifica and it does the same thing. Been to dealer 2x and both times they cannot replicate the problem. They seem to think something is in the way when clearly it is not. Just curious if anyone has found a fix? Thakns.
