Any update on the driver side door opening? We purchased a 2018 Pacifica and it does the same thing. Been to dealer 2x and both times they cannot replicate the problem. They seem to think something is in the way when clearly it is not. Just curious if anyone has found a fix? Thakns.
I've had the problem too. It opens back up. I think it's about the sensor being overly sensitive, am going to monitor.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing this concern as well, NewtoChrysler. If you have not already addressed this with your dealer, we highly recommend doing so as they are in the best position to provide assistance. Our team is just a private message away if you are in need of any additional assistance with that process.

Body control module update seems to have cured our issue. Hard to duplicate for dealer but ours went from once every few days to not at all after update.

Been having same problem. Found door open in parking lot when returning from store. Today it opened when I closed drivers door & walked away!
How do I set up to have this update done?

Make an appointment with a Chrysler service department and they can reflash the parts required. I had this done at about 45,000 miles (under an extended warranty) and is seems to have solved the problem of the door reopening.

If you put your van info (year, trim, gas/hybrid, etc.) in the signature line, it will show up at the bottom of each post and may possibly help us answer your questions easier.

My Pacifica had this same issue with (driver side) sliding door opening up upon attempting to close. This used to be a very infrequent event therefore I ignored it. Now it is becoming more frequent and I scheduled an appointment with the dealership later this week. The service advisor suggested something like a simple alignment of the motor. Is that what is needed? From some posts above it looks to be a software flash. Is it still the case? May be @ChryslerCares can help.

Here is a link to info (post #19) from when I had my driver's side sliding door worked on in case it might be of help. It has been a couple of months since it was "flashed" and problem hasn't returned.

Thanks. I found from somewhere in these threads that the problem is more reproducible if you keep the driver’s door open while trying to close the driver side sliding door. It did for a couple times for me. Hopefully the dealership will fix it tomorrow.

Bond007... I had the problem with the driver side sliding door doing this since I got the van. It seemed to be more frequent in the hot summer months and non existent in the cold winter months. About a year into ownership I took it in and the dealership re-flashed the modules per the TSB. It’s never done it again, and it’s been more than a year. If I were you I would specifically ask them to re-flash the modules per the TSB.

There are a couple of power door TSBs 08-027-18 and 08-028-18 that I'd found earlier (in case your dealer can't find them).

They already did the calibration. It was all software updates. Saw the guy sitting with a computer connected. Hopefully the problem is permanently fixed now. Thanks for all of your help.

Hi,
I bought a 2018 Pacifica Hybrid recently (with only about 900 miles on it) and it is also having the same problem with Sliding Doors not working automatically. It also gives me a message some thing like 'There is not enough power available so open/close the doors manually'. I have seen the same message even after the PHEV bettery is fully charged.
Here is the worst part I already took my vehicle to my local Dealer twice and every time they keep my van for a week and say they have applied software, replaced some charging parts etc but the problem comes back again.
Also, my dash has the 'check engine light' on and the dealer is not able to fix this either.
How can this be escalated to Chrysler Corporate office? Is my local dealer to blame or the van itself is a piece of crap? I have a Nissan Altima for over 15 yrs, not once I had to go to dealer for problems like these.
Please advise me what to do next.

They have not replaced my 12 v battery. Also, checked the status of my battery and it says it has over 50% power left. I will check with the dealer in my third attempt. Shouldn’t the dealer supposed to know simple things like this?
Thanks for the response though.

You can try messaging @ChryslerCares by clicking on the letters to message them to see if they can be of assistance. You could also try the FCA number 1(866) 275-1420.
The dealer should be able to fix the check engine light or ask Chrysler for help.
The 12V battery is the regular battery that most vehicles have. If a van sat on a dealer lot awhile, the 12V battery may not be as good as it should be and cause problems or display unusual messages. I have replaced the 12V battery in my gas Pacifica. I don't have a hybrid van, but I think that the 50% you are referring to is related to the rechargeable hybrid batteries and not the 12V battery.
