We haven't had our van for long, and we were able to buy it through a combination of luck and persistence. Reliability is of course unknown. But the experience so far has been just terrific. That was particularly brought home to me when, after a couple of weeks hiatus, I drove our 2010 Prius (en route to selling it). I got in the Prius and found myself wondering "Wow! What's wrong with this car?" because... it was so comparatively loud. The engine, the road noise... and then also the lesser smoothness of the ride in terms of insulation from a bumpy road. It goes without saying that the Prius is a less responsive car overall; I think the Prius is kind of known for that, and I've certainly had to adjust my foot pressure both accelerating and braking. I'm not a "car person" as such, but boy, this beast of a Pacifica feels a lot more nimble than the Prius.
Parking - I haven't dared to try the automatic parking yet, not really. But the 360 camera is awesome for making sure you are actually close enough to the curb when parallel parking, and even for getting all the way into--but not over the line--when perpendicular parking. Hugely helpful when trying to adjust to driving a bigger vehicle.
I know this model lacks the seat memory feature, and with fourteen thousand adjustments that you can make to the seat, I see how that would be handy. But, dang, just being able to do that many adjustments is such a leap up for me that I'm having a hard time complaining.
The kids love it. And we can finally have both of them invite a friend along on a trip instead of having to go through arguments about who gets to pick a friend this time... or bring nobody.
I'm really enjoying this machine, even more than I had thought I would. I hope everyone else on this list who is still waiting, gets your chance REALLY SOON.
