Engine / transmission failure?

Hey all, I didn't see any similar issues after searching for a few minutes so I thought I'd post about what happened to me yesterday. I have a 2018 Pacifica Limited with about 23,000 trouble-free miles on it.

A few seconds after accelerating up to about 70mph on the freeway, a Start-Stop warning notification appeared on the dash, indicating that it had failed. This made sense, as the car had not been turning off at stoplights for the last several days. No big deal.

A few seconds later, however, the check engine light began to flash and a chime sounded, along with a general service engine notification on the display. Simultaneously, I noticed a vibration that felt like a blown out tire. When I let off the throttle, the vibration went away, but anytime I applied throttle again the vibration resumed. It was at this time that I noticed a rattling sound coming from the engine or transmission that, just like the vibration, disappeared whenever I let off the gas. I was still traveling 60+ mph, so the rattling was pretty loud for me to be able to hear it over the road noise.

As luck would have it, I was a near the dealership where I bought the car, so I exited the freeway and drove about half a mile to the dealership. Since the noise and vibration presented themselves whenever I did anything except coast, I nursed the car from the freeway to the dealership, stopping at one stoplight a few feet from my destination. While waiting for the light to turn green, the car shook noticeably, and the "box of marbles" rattling sound was also present, though not as loud as it had been. The chime and flashing light continued until I turned off the car at the dealership.

Through it all, the engine kept running, so I'm inclined to think it may have been a transmission issue, but who knows. Anyone experience anything similar?
