No but the button on the console switch stays lit bright blue when off. Also a note, the ESS active light was located under the tach needle at 0, thus blocking the light. Not very well thought out.

Oh ok so the light on the tach is on when ESS is on?

I only ask because i see the cutout for the light on my tach but I do not have ESS, nor did I have the option when i bought (i have a fully loaded Limited). Just wondering why they would have had instrument clusters with the light if wasn't an option....

I think it was just pre-planning. All builds starting Jan-2017 have ESS as standard. I'm guessing the plan all along was to include this feature so they had the dial bezels stamped to include it from the very beginning to save $$.

im fairly certain it is not orange. Blue or green background if I recall. Honestly, I do not need a light to tell me that the ESS is engaged. That's what the tach is for as well as the obvious engine off after brakes applied. Perhaps they did it to indicate your car is not broken and turned off on purpose.

Back to the color, I did notice that, with polarized glasses on, the 'white' lights on the center gauge show up orange.
