My wife and I have a 2018 PacHy, and we had an incident where the van didn't want to start. When it did finally start, the Check Engine Light came on. Unfortunately I didn't have my scan tool with me. The light cleared, and van seems to be running fine.

When I was able to get to my scan tool, the computer still had the fault in it's history -- P0A78. We dropped it off at the dealer, and they are going to "troubleshoot" it. Has anyone dealt with this fault code, or know what it means?

Code P0A78 is code for Drive motor A inverter performance. The transmission has 2 electric motors in it. Each motor has an inverter that converts A/C electrical energy to D/C electrical energy. There is a power inverter module (PIM) that monitors the amount of energy and mainly monitors for excessive current. Diagnosis is definitely needed for this code.
