First car was a 1952 Chevy two door.
First new one was a 1968 Corvair
Lots of people did not like the Corvair but I had three of them. Not bad cars for a young low paid factory worker.

Seems that the people that liked the Corvair were loyal to them. My uncle had a '62 that he replaced with a 1980 Chevy Citation. A friend of mine's mom had a '61 convertible that she drove until she passed in 1984.

My first was a clean '41 Chevy in 1955 when I was thirteen. No school buses where I lived and we lived 12 miles from town, so I had to drive to high school. I absolutely hated that car! Everything that could break did, and if it couldn't break it found a way to do so.

The last time it left me stranded was at night, five miles from home in twenty-below-zero weather. I walked home and dad junked it the next day. He went out and bought me a '48 Plymouth that proved to be bulletproof! I loved that car until it was destroyed by a tornado. Fifty-some Mopars since, and never had a reason to change. Next one will be a '19 Pacifica when the new white color becomes available, but based on some of the problems I've read here, I hope I don't regret it!
