Does anyone know why the front passenger headrest is at an angle and if there is a way to straighten it out to match the driver seat headrest?

If I remember correctly you pull it all the way forward to reset it.Does anyone know why the front passenger headrest is at an angle and if there is a way to straighten it out to match the driver seat headrest?
Yes...it rotates forward only then resets at the full forward position. There are 4 or 5 different settings. You should adjust it so that's it's as close to your head as possible to minimize whiplash effects in the event of an accident. If I remember correctly you pull it all the way forward to reset it.
Could you lift it higher? I haven't even touched mine as it is just right from the get-go, but I wonder if lifting the headrest would make your head hit further down and be a bit further back?I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and I find the headrest to be uncomfortable compared to the 2004 Honda Odyssey which I have driven for the last 10 years. The headrest pushes my head too far forward, even in the most backward position that the headrest goes. It's the one complaint I have with the car. I have even turned it backwards, but that's not safe as it's too far back (and also the kids DVD screen then won't open). I am considering how I can deal with this, including having a metal shop modify it. I need it to go back another 1/2 inch.
We have the same problem the first time we took it for a drive over 30 minutes. The headrests are too far forward for my wife. The headrests push her head forward even when adjusted to the rearmost position. I showed it to the dealer who gave me the Chrysler customer service number. The car is unusable because of this; who would want to drive or ride in a car with a headrest that produces headaches and cannot be adjusted any further back?I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and I find the headrest to be uncomfortable compared to the 2004 Honda Odyssey which I have driven for the last 10 years. I'll take that POS off your hands. $26 K cash. It will put an end to your misery.I am having the same problem - the driver and passenger side headrests are positioned so far forward - compared to my previous vehicle they are very uncomfortable.
Some possible options:
1. Car Nick pillow (I have this - it helps)

2. Buy an old headrest from eBay?
3. Bend the headrest backwards - metal shop (already proposed in this thread).
Headrest pic:Either you guys have freakishly GIGANTIC heads or you haven't read the post above telling you how to adjust them...

These are not as safe as having your neck straight. I see patients often that have gotten whiplash and I know the anatomy and kinematics of the spine and having your neck flexed forward like these head restraints force it, will load up the discs very excessivley.I'm not sure I understand this whole complaint.
First of all, these are not Head RESTS. They are Head RESTRAINTS. They are there to minimize whiplash/neck injuries in case of an accident. They were not designed as head rests, nor are they called that in the manual.
Are people trying to use them when taking naps? The photo in the first post is obviously of a restraint that is adjusted forward. It simply needs to be pulled all the way forward and it will release to an upright position.
Many people have ridden in my van; big, small, tall, short, and no one has had an issue, even on long trips.
If you don't care about safety, they can be removed. It describes how to do so in the manual.
I agree, very uncomfortable to drive. The problem lies in how the seat angle and the head restraints meet, causes too much of a change between thoracic and cervical vertebrae. We have the same problem the first time we took it for a drive over 30 minutes. Any suggestions, please post.
We have the front seats slightly reclined which makes the poor headrest position bearable. There's no way we could stand to drive it for very long with the seats straight up.Do those of you who find it uncomfortable have your seat backs unusually vertical?
I wonder what's going on. I've had Odyssey for 20 years, and just a month ago got Pacifica--and I have zero problem with the headrest. I am able to adjust it to a comfortable position.I have a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and I find the headrest to be uncomfortable compared to the 2004 Honda Odyssey which I have driven for the last 10 years.
