I posted this awhile back, but the car is still making the same noise even when the weather is warm out. Any thoughts?

My van makes this cold start sound too. Based on internet searching of Pentastar loud cold starts, I believe this is normal for this motor. There is a fair amount of reports out there with no ill effects on longevity or associated problems.

Mine sounds exactly the same, as did my 2014 T&C. I never had any issues with my previous van, so I don't believe it's anything to be overly concerned about.

Its the water pump. Nothing can be done some are noisy some less.

Ah the effects of the remote start! Would probably never hear it if you only started the car from the inside! This is my first car with remote start and am navigating its quirks, mostly the a/c, but am looking forward to using it in the summer!

Although I reference it with remote start, this noise does happen even with the manual start. I can hear it pretty loudly inside the vehicle. It doesn't help that my van is parked up against the garage and I think that echos the sound.
