While the cameras are great they only seem to come on when I am in reverse.
Has anyone figured out a way to make them come on when going into a garage? I was thinking maybe it is possible they turn on when the distance warnings do? Or under 5 mph? I know I can do it manually but would love it if they somehow knew to come on pulling into my garage.

I don't think vehicle can tell if it a garage or something else but if somehow it is possible to trigger cameras at less than 5mph, that'll be cool!

i have experience the ability to have it on by command by adding a shortcut to the bottom links on the UConnect screen. I added it for such use since NAV doesn't work here in Korea without the appropriate maps.

It seems to work up to 5 MPH, and i use it often in the drive through car wash so my kids get to see the fisheye view of the water spraying all over the car.

good luck!

That manual screenshot references a 'Surround View button'.

On our other car, there is a 'Camera' button that activates the 360 camera (in Drive).

On the second page of the main Uconnect display, there is a shortcut link for "Surround Camera View" or something similar. If you press and hold that link for a couple moments, it will allow you to drag the link and drop it in the bottom menu on the display, similar to dragging an app to the bottom menu on an iPhone. With the link there, I can now tap it any time I want the 360° camera view. I use it all the time when pulling into my garage.
