Bought our Velvet Red Touring 3 months and 5500 miles ago.
I was reluctant to buy a first year Chrysler, now I know why. 5 visits to the dealer already and first name basis and speed dial with the service manager.
First off in 700 miles it was down 3/4 of a quarter of oil. Fortunately it has mysteriously stopped the oil consumption.
Second, the coolant recovery tank leaked by the seams between the hi and low mark spewing coolant all over the engine compartment. Before the dealer would replace the tank they put in a green dye tracer in the coolant to supposedly find the obvious leak better. A week later I took it back to the dealer, they then ordered a new tank. Once the new tank and a hose arrived the dealer installed the parts and said they flushed the coolant system. But I know have a strange color of coolant, not pink purple or green.
I'm now going back the sixth time to have the dealer really flush the coolant and replace it 100%.
I also had the drivers window auto up mode stop and go back down a few times, keeping an eye on this.
Overall we love the Pacifica the way it drives and handles, so smooth and quiet. But very concerned about reliability. Have 4 other Chrysler products in the family and even the old 02 Grand Caravan and 97 Grand Cherokee were better then this when new.

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about the issues with your Pacifica. I've experienced the reversing auto-window also, as have many others. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a TSB released at some point to resolve that.

Merry Christmas!! Phil, and welcome the forum. I have a Touring L with over 10,000 miles without a problem, and feel very lucky at this point of time. I purchase mine in May, during the Memorial Day sale period. I have an engine produced in the USA, and it has a 6 quart oil capacity, in the oil sump. Guess it was an early production model. Good luck on resolving your problems. I drive mine like a sports car at times!!

Merry Christmas to you Kentfield.
6 quart oil capacity? My Pacifica was built June 3, when the dealer did a oil change last week at 5000 miles they added 6 quarts, not the 5 per the manual. But it does appear to be over filled and I'm having the dealer look at this along with my strange colored coolant. I wonder if mine is like yours with the larger capacity oil sump?

Hi Pacifica Phil,

Sorry to hear about your concerns with your vehicle! I'd be happy to follow up with your service advisor if needed, just PM our page with your VIN and let me know.

Hi Andrea, thank you for offering your help. My dealer did a complete flush of the cooling system and added all correct OAT purple coolant and also removed 1 quart of oil. It did take a little convincing on my part to get the dealer to do a total flush. The dealer also learned something new, the 3.6 Pentastar on our Pacifica holds 5 quarts not 6 quarts like other Pentastars and some early build Pacificas. Thanks again, it's nice having you monitor this forum. Yeah Chrysler!
