After a month of negotiating and searching I finally came to an agreement with a dealership for 35,460 plus taxes and fees on a Touring L Plus with Advanced Safety Tech, wheel package, navi, 8 seater, and handsfree package. This is one with ESS. Because no one had it in stock the dealership did a dealer trade. I am waiting on the car to be brought here. Has anyone done this before? Anything I should watch for? Deal was too good to pass. Just hope it actually materializes.

Hi Pablo. Dealer trades are pretty common. I've done it in the past without issue. Do you know how the Pacifica is going to be brought to the dealership? Is someone driving it or is it being trucked? The vehicle could have a few miles on it from test drives as well. I would just thoroughly inspect it when it shows up. Look under the front bumper as I've heard they are easy to scrape. Good luck and hopefully congratulations on your new Pacifica.

Got mine on 4/27/2017 dealer did not trade but got it from dealer 250 miles away. Because I wanted Limited with ESS, Advanced Safety Tech, 8 Passenger with 20 inch wheels and no video screens it has been quite difficult to find.
Dealers really want to move the 2017 Pacifica right now.
MSRP 46,530.00 got it for 38,845.00

Deal was too good to be true

Went to the dealership excited about my new Pacifica and the great deal that they offered. Was at the dealership for 4 hours when they got me into financing. I did my homework and knew what to look for. Dealer tried to pull a "Spot Delivery Scam". Incredibly frustrated and lost my faith in Chrysler. I think I will go back to Honda.

Bummer, sorry to hear. Plenty of slimey dealers out there from all the mfrs. price of about 34.5K is in the right ballpark, so if you regain your stamina for a less sleazy dealer, then it still might work out. Hope all goes well.

What is the spot delivery scam? We will be purchasing soon, and need to know what to look for.

Well it depends on what the dealer's end game is. Some dealers will have you sign a piece of paper basically saying that the contract is not binding until financing goes through. That makes sense since you need financing to buy the car but financing should be approved by the time you sign the contract. So its my understanding that they will sneak this in so after you take the car ge they are open to changing the terms. Wether it be financing or even the cost of the vehicle. Because I knew my credit was good I figured they would come back and tell me that Chrysler dint approve the deal on those terms and they would have to give me less for my trade or the cost of their car would have to go up. A reputable dealer should not have to do Spot Delivery. You should be able to walk out knowing the terms are 100% correct. My problem is several dealers in my area want to do this. So not sure if this is a Chrysler thing or there are just a bunch of bad dealers up here.
