This just started out of the blue and doesn't seem to affect operation yet. It only happens when opening. Closing sounds normal. The sound appears to come from the large bracket that travels along the lower side of the window.
The bracket seems to "float" just like the other door and I can't find anything lose.

Anything to try prior to taking it in?

Hi elrodvt,

Sorry to hear about this! Keep us updated on your dealership appointment, I'd be happy to offer assistance if needed.

I just experienced the same symptoms. Brought to dealership for 2nd complimentary oil change after purchase and asked about grinding when opening rear sliding door. The service coordinator indicated they had just replaced a "rubber piece" (bushing?) in another Pacifica sliding door, they have ordered the part for me and are calling when received to schedule replacement. Assuming this will also be comped.

This is good to know. I too have heard that sound but it is intermittent. I figured it was simply just debris on the rollers that, consequently, do not make full contact with the guide rails. I planned on taking a can of compressed air to the area. However, maybe I should take it in too.

I applied Fluid Film spray lubricant to my sliding door rollers as they were becoming increasingly noisy after 10 months of use. Worked like a charm and saved the time of a trip to the dealer. Doors open & close very quietly once again.

I would avoid fluid film spray and use whatever the dealership uses (unless that is what they use). I intend on finding out what they use, and lubricate it myself when needed. I imagine it is the same stuff they would use for door hinge arms.
