Silly question before the frost/snow arrives...

Are the tiny "heated mirror logos" on the side mirrors supposed to ILLUMINATE when they are functioning...? or are those just little non-illuminated markings to denote that the feature is equipped in the car...?

I tested them this morning by (according to the manual) turning on the *REAR* defroster button.
The button illuminates, but the tiny mirror logos did not, so my assumptions could be:

1) It's functioning as expected. The logos are not supposed to illuminate.
2) They are not functioning correctly; the logos SHOULD illuminate.

The manual just explains how to activate them.
Thanks.

heated mirrors

The logo in the mirror on mine doesnt light up.They havent on any car I have ever owned but they sure work good.I go thro the car wash and the blower doesnt blow them off good so I turn on the heated mirrors to dry them off and it works pretty good.

There is no indication on the mirror that the heat is on. The light you see may be for blind spot monitoring, if you have that feature.
