My dealer ordered in Jan and I put a deposit down on it in mid March. To be eligible for the free Level 2 charger, I understand that I need to have it changed to a Sold Order. I have seen several people indicate that their dealer did that for them, but my dealer does not believe he can. Could a few of you please give me the context info for your dealer that did this so that I could have my dealer confer with yours? Thanks!

All the dealer should need to do is go into the ordering system and modify the the order to a sold order from a dealer stock order and add your name and address to the order. The order will, however, indicate the date it was modified so that could knock you out of the free charger offer unless the dealer knows some way around that. I will check with my dealer and see if he knows a way to keep you in the running for the delayed delivery incentive.

I do have a deposit receipt and the Chrysler rep I spoke with called the dealership and confirmed. My info is attached to the order now, but it is still a dealer order. The Chrysler rep was nice but not very familiar with the free charger offer or how to change the order label.

My situation is similar in that I put a deposit for an existing dealer order as I thought it would lessen my wait. My last 2 attempts to just get a status update thru chat were denied since the van is not in my name. Needless to say that they didn't say anything about the charger. I moved on to calling their 800 number and was told to contact the dealer about it, which I had, but my dealer has gone silent since I asked the question whether I would be eligible for the charger.

Finally, yesterday I used the email option to contact them. This morning I got an email that was not just the "form letter" type, but rather a very thorough response and more. First, she stated that this delayed delivery compensation offer was for "sold" orders but that she had taken the liberty to escalate to management for consideration. Then, she proceeded to provide a status on my van, which is now D1 - gateline schedule for 5/1 and possible delivery on week of 5/8. I hadn't asked about the status as I didn't want to confuse my question, so clearly she took upon herself to give me an update (I had included the VIN). I was on the road, and before I arrived at my destination, I got a follow up email from the same person saying I had been approved for the delayed delivery compensation, and that I should expect a call or email from their outbound call program in the near future. Less than 40 minutes after the email, I got a call from a Michigan number, (248) 553-8355, and it was from FCA. As others have mentioned, she didn't offer me a choice, but I specifically asked for the Visa card, and she said no problem. She had me verify my name, address and phone number, and ended by saying the Visa card would be mailed in mid-May.

Hopefully you can get the same response as I did about the free charger or Visa card.

Thanks for the feedback. I was able to resolve this also, just differently. I spoke with the Customer Care folks to add my name and info to the dealer order. Then they opened a Case Number for me and put in my concerns. Started getting the calls the next day and just spoke with them. So I'm all set to get the charger!

Now if only I had a car...
