Hey everyone, I'm new to the Pacifica since September and so far so good and I've been reading up on things since.
The other day I noticed something strange. I HAVEN'T registered my free trial of XM Guardian, just didn't bother after reading things and I don't listen to sat radio. But the other day my Uconnect updated, not the maps though. I connect bluetooth for music but my understanding is that since Guardian isn't registered then I don't have a connection to get updates with. I find this all strange since in my previous car, a Mini, updates were at least monthly without any subscription.
Anyways anyone else get an update without registering Guardian??

Chrysler can send updates that directly affect vehicle operation. This has nothing to do with the services offered by XM.

I'll elaborate on this a bit by saying they can only update the Uconnect system remotely. Any updates for other modules can only be performed with the vehicle at a dealership or other shop with wiTECH access.

Fortunately I haven't seen any negatives with the update. Ok I'll rephrase that ... I haven't seen any changes at all since the update. I'm assuming it's some minor glitches fixed ... or minor glitches added it seems for some. Call it a "feature".
