Just picked up our Pacifica Touring-L with the Kensense option. Dealership gave us 2 key fobs. One regular and one with Keysense logo on the back.

If I paid for the option, am I supposed to get 3 key fobs?

My wife is having trouble while driving with this Keysense fob on a highway. There is speed and audio volumn limits. The keysense light on the instrument cluster is also distracting.

I saw threads here some people got 3 key fobs for their Pacifica with Keysense option.
I called Chrysler Customer Service and the lady put me on hold and talk to my dealer for 10 minutes then come back to me says I have to pay my dealership to get more key fobs. Is this reasonable? Any suggestion?

Your dealership is wrong. If they've lost the other regular fob, they need to order a new one for you. Don't take no for an answer.

Get ChryslerCares team that is on here involved. They should be able to help you out and correct the dealer if they are giving you incorrect information.

Yes, like everyone so far, 3 fobs..if I recall the key sense was bagged separate from the main 2 fobs. It's dealers that do things like this that adds to the negative stigma of vehicle purchasing. Agree, you need to go back to them and be firm or as mentioned, escalate to customer care. Good luck!

In the meantime, there is an option to disable keysense limits. It may alleviate some of the issues you are having while you wait for your 2nd normal fob.

A bit off topic, but has anyone else noticed that the keysense fob feels lighter than the regular fobs? I have not put them on a scale to verify, but in the hand there seems to be a difference.

I was just holding them....I almost think it feels a bit heavier lol but it's so slight either way. Need to get the scale out.

Hi dayehchen,

I reached out to the brand for more information regarding your question. They confirmed that with the KeySense feature customers should receive one regular key fob and one KeySense fob that can be programmed to influence the driving in the vehicle (manage top speed, radio noise, etc.). Let me know if you have any additional questions!

So only 2 fobs total? Why did everyone else get 3?

Hi Akswinehart,

Unfortunately the brand has confirmed that with the KeySense option customers are to be provided one normal key fob and one KeySense fob. We will pass the feedback from this thread along to the brand and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

But you pay for the option, thus an added key imho and understanding....even my build sheet stats "key sense programmable key fob $175". I also reference the below Edmunds article on the key sense option....think there's some confusion.

I agree with this.

Plus, IMO, it wouldn't make sense to have only one regular fob. That would mean if a family with a teenage driver gets Keysense for him/her, then the parents would have to either share the regular fob or reprogram the Keysense fob each time one of them wanted to use it. Either way, this would cause an inconvenience.

When I ordered my van, I was told I would be getting 3 fobs and that's what I got when it arrived.

I'm not buying the response from the brand. At our dealer, they kept the accessories off-site at the new car prep area and to try and avoid theft (remotes, headphones, key-fobs, etc). When we took delivery of our Limited, the off-site location had closed for the evening, so the next time I went to the dealer, they gave me those items along with the floor mats and other miscellaneous items. Within the factory box were the two sets of headphones, remotes, and batteries along with the 2nd key fob and Keysense fob all keyed to our vehicle.
