Throw the stock intake in the trash.
Hood Automotive lighting Motor vehicle Grille Vehicle

I modified and reinstalled the cold air tube after these pics.

Despite the stock intake being a "cold air" intake, this setup runs consistently runs 25-30°F cooler than the factory setup.

It also shaved .4-.5 seconds off the van's 0-60 time and gives a wonderful sound under WOT.

I wish it had the 8 speed trans. They shift quicker, I don't know if this 9 speed can be modified
I've found when you run them hard regularly, they are god **** good.
They get laggy and sloppy when driven nice for too long. Joys of adaptive transmissions.

Are you modifying the factory Air-Intake Box to house new K&F Filter? Then RIPP Coil packs & NGK Plugs?
I am not right now. I plan on checking intake air temps when it's warmer outside, but it already runs 25-30° cooler than the factory intake, so I am not really worried about it.
The coils and plugs will be going in this weekend.

The van could run much faster without an air filter, almost reaching to about 3.9 seconds 0-60 miles, because of no restriction.

20 Cars You Didn't Know Could Go 0 To 60 In Less Than 4 Seconds

Who needs a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Manual Coupe built with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI engine generating 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque when all we need to do is remove our air filters or any vehicle on the list in the above link 16-20?

I can sell you some Racing Air for your tires. I swear that you will go faster. Trust me!
No? Hood Pin! Those always add horsepower.
No? I have a special Speed Soap. You write some garbage "Max something, class something" on the right side of the windshield and people think it's a sleeper that was at the track on the weekend.
Not fast enough? A Bumble Bee sticker?
Oh! Speed Holes! I don't know what gauge to use though. We want to keep the warranty.
Or maybe some colour matched painters aroma tape? Taping the whole front makes your car more aerodynamic. The painters aroma tape can be removed before you take it to the dealership for that new smell. They will never know!
Oh! Don't forget a Speed Tree Air Freshener just incase. They are checkered like a winning flag. Use those, and put some special Racing Electrical Tape on the Check Engine light. Mechanics hate that Speed Hack.

<DONT DO THESE! Except for the sticker. That always works. I've been doing that for decades. Proven tech.>

I bought my Pacifica's to be nice upscale minivans, if I wanted a race car I would have bought one. The Pacifica is not a race car and will not ever be one. I think I will spend my money making mine quieter and or smoother.

The Pac? Blown as soon as I can arrange it. I bought it to use as a utility vehicle. It's just a tool to be modified to be sharpest, brightest, best for as many jobs as possible.
I can use a generic tool(a stock Pac)as Wal-Mart/Chrysler sells it, or I can make it world class to fit exacting/many needs(my zr2 blazer).
My Pac will be a Pac version of my zr2 pictured below.

I'm not the guy doing 55 in 75 zone. I'm the guy getting around that mental deficient self-centered 20under goof. Then I do the speed limit.
It's not about racing.
It's about getting by according to the rules and not according to the lowest common denominator flotsam. Lcd's have rights equal to normal and above folk. It doesn't mean I need repressed by their stupidness.

I prefer my Pinnacle Hybrid to be a 100% sleeper with no warnings. When I go into sleeper mode I switch from 87 octane to premium 93 octane. For drag mode, I charge at a 0-60 2-second Tesla Plaid charging station and add octane booster to the premium 93 octane. 3.6-liter Gas/Electric V-6 that makes 260 hp and -(its classified)- of torque, lighting my tires on fire to 7.9 seconds 0 to 60. That's what I'm talking bout!

MERICA!

That's dandy for you, I'll spend my time/money making it more enjoyable for daily use. Racecar, nope. That doesn't mean it can't be fun to throw down backroads though.

Let us know how blowing it goes. I usually drive over the speed limit a few, but seems some gearhead always wants to eat my bumper no matter how fast I go, lol. I know what ya mean about those idiots that drive 20 under. They need to take the bus and give up driving.

Link the lux air to the guy in another thread who this week is getting his tires vacuumed of air and is having nitrogen installed because nitrogen is neutral(no it isn't) and doesn't expand(yes it does).
