Hey Everybody,

I created a step-by-step do it yourself video for removing the rear garnish and tail light assembly and replacing your turn signal bulb on the 2017+ Chrysler Pacifica. I hope this is helpful!

Congratulations! You've been stickied to the top of the electronics thread. Nice work and thank you for sharing.

Thanks! That was the easiest replacement out of all the ones I've done so far :)

Now is there one on how to replace the reverse lights? How does one replace the reverse lights? Do you have to do it through the inside (by removing the plastic covers) of the trunk door or remove the entire tail light where the reverse light resides?
Very easy. Yes just remove the plastic covers on the rear liftgate (from the inside). It's right there. Probably the easiest swap ever! /forum/images/PacificaForums/smilies/tango_face_smile_big.png

Awesome! I used your vid. Now the brake lights look modern. Not that I can see them, and only people that it would impress is someone noticing how it turns off/on when I use my turn signals. lol.

UPDATE:
Ok, crap. Wife comes home and tells me there's a warning about a blinker or something being out, and that the speed of the turn signal is 2x faster. So I go to the van and turn on the blinker. Yup. Click-click-click is about 2x faster. The front blinkers (Bulb) are flashing at normal speed, the rear are flashing at normal speed (LEDs). The LED on the mirrors are 2x faster... I turn on the hazard lights. Speed goes to normal. And all lights flashing as it should.

Any easy way of fixing that? I would leave it as everything is on and working, but that warning she gets on the screen will keep bugging her. BTW, I didn't see it. Is it something I can clear or does the warning stay on the screen?
I heard people saying installing some sort of resistor? Do I need them on every location I have a LED bulb? Sounds like that could be expensive? And I went with the Sylvania LEDs because stock is Sylvania bulbs and the website said it works well with low resistance so not to have the high speed flashing /warning.

Bump. I want to replace the bulbs, but not if it's going to mean they're going to be blinking at some irritating rate or having warnings coming up. Thanks!

Over year with the upgrade and mine are working well. I think as long as you stick to the recommended bulbs you’ll be ok.

To replace your front turns it is very easy. Remove the front black cover that covers your radiator. There are some push tabs that just need to be lifted with a flat head screw driver and pulled out. You will want to remove them all and take the cover off. Then you can look down at your head light and see where the turn signal bulb is located. Reach down turn to release the bulb. Remove the old bulb replace with the led and replace. I have a few pics. If the pics aren't good enough just let me know and when my wife gets home tomorrow I will make a video on how to replace all the bulbs to led. So that way everyone will have a easy way to do there conversion.

I was looking at my window sticker to check on my headlights. I happened to see it states LED fog lamps and LED tail lamps. Mine is a 2018. Did they put LED bulbs in the 18's? Or are they referring to the decorative light that goes around the tail lights?
.
UPDATE:
.
A little research and I answered my own question. The decorative ring IS the LED tail light. The bulb is a bright, single filament bulb.

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how to disconnect the wires to the entire tail light assembly to replace it? Had a little mishap loading lumber... Looks like the red piece slides straight up to unlock it, but I didn't want to break it trying to get it out. I've messed it up a little already - almost like the red locking piece is itself locked in there. Thx.

It was jammed - you slide the red lock up and then push the two sides together while releasing the other lock (that last part is important). The one on the car released much easier.

Hi, thanks for the guide!

Short question:
I have a problem, my rear driver side signal light is out in my 2019 Pacifica. How do I replace just the blinker / turn signal light?

More details:
I live in Europe and I bought my 2019 Chrysler Pacifica as an import. It was used, 20k miles or so, had front end damage that was fully repaired. It might have come from Canada? but I am not sure. (import said from North America, I originally assumed USA)
The rear tail lights have a brake light like in your video, but the signal lights seem separate. I cant find anything about this on the internet, in the manual or anything. Do I have some one off model?
I cannot see where the turn signal bulb would be.
The brake light bulb only has one filament as far as I can see, and both brake lights work properly. Just the left turn signal is not working.

Rear passenger side blinker(working) and brake light on:

Rear passenger side brake light only:
Automotive tail & brake light Wheel Vehicle Automotive lighting Car

Some pictures of the light assembly on the inside:

On the far left side of the second pic is a gray/black wire that goes into another fixture. Could that be it?

The gray/black wire is held in place there with a rubber gasket, I was able to pull out that rubber gasket but the gray and black wires just continue into the black housing assembly and I did not see any bulb there. I will open it up again tomorrow and post a follow up picture of that.

The white/black wires are for the LED circuit of the tail light. Models with LED tail lights come with single filament 7440 (W21W) bulbs installed at the factory. If you look closely, in the 4th picture you can see "W21WLL" stamped into the housing near the bulb socket opening. Dual filament 7443 (W21W/5W) bulbs can also be used and are actually specified in the owners manual, but the 5 watt filaments aren't used if the van has LED tail lights.

The part number on the sticker in your 3rd picture (68229026AF) is what's used on models with LED tail lights. There is a different part number (68233189AE) specified for export use in the parts catalog, but I can't find out what's different about it. The description states "Export. Left. [LED Tail Lamps] / Body Side. LED Tail Lamps-Middle East Equipment Group."

Do the front turn signals work fine? What about the hazard lights? Can you post a picture of the housing when the lights aren't illuminated? I suspect the light patterns captured in the pictures are deceiving due to the timing of the picture with regard to the on/off cycle of the bulb. This is causing us to look for a difference that doesn't exist.
