Has anyone been able to locate a PDF brochure for the Pacifica Hybrid with correct model denomination and accurate list of features and options? I am still looking at an older brochure that doesn't have the latest info and the Hybrid Platinum still listed as Hybrid Limited.... No response from my dealer yet..

You still can't price one on Chrysler's website so even their own website doesn't give any information on options and packages.

We went in this weekend, and they didn't have any official brochures or info. Oddly, though, we noticed the general Pacifica brochure we did take home did have detailed options for the Hybrid. But given the two Hybrid trims were listed as "Limited" and "Touring" I think it's safe to say its not worth putting stock in anything it says.

I have a powerpoint print/scan from a dealer presentation it seems with good info, but I need more posts to be allowed to add the URL to my public dropbox. Hopefully soon.

I just added it to my Signature line and at least it tells us how many posts are needed to show urls, 10. 4 more to go, let me cheat a bit in this thread.

Awesome, thanks for the info!

This will likely motivate me to go ahead and order, since it sounds like January production will be all pre-orders (pg 30). So hybrids won't be widely available on lots until I'm guessing March at the earliest.

I think it actually says only some pre-spec hybrids will be produced in January. Orders won't be built until February.

That is awesome, thank you, the insight in that PDF is great!!!

I can confirm that the dealer holdback is $1,408 from the interaction I had with a dealership attempting to pre-order the Platinum. He wanted a $2,000 premium because he was only going to make $211 on the difference between the MSRP and the FWP. I said thanks but no thanks, went to another dealership, and they wanted $3k. So we negotiated and got it under $1,000 above MSRP, but I'm pretty sure I'm just a bad negotiator and they really don't want to sell these things, so they're trying to scam people into paying extra above MSRP despite the conventional Pacifica already having incentives on it. On the flipside, I now have a configuration preview of our order with the dealership's prices on it, and with the Federal incentive, this is going to be much cheaper still, I just hate being a lousy negotiator. /rant

Is the dealer holdback the same as the dealer payout/delivery allowance?
Yes. See the earlier post from generaltso in this thread:

Thanks for posting. A lot of interesting info in there, like:

-$1400 Dealer Delivery Allowance (holdback)
-$100 Margin
-$0 Customer Facing Incentives
-Initial Allocation = 1 per dealer (don't really understand the remaining allocation)
-Customer orders begin production in February

If you try to negotiate with a dealer, you lose. The only way to "win", (where "win" is defined as "get the best price possible", not "the price you want to pay") is to pit multiple dealers against each other in a bidding war for you business. This smokes out the best deal by finding the dealer who most desperately wants to sell a car for reasons we wouldn't know (and don't care about). You do this by phone and email; never step foot onto a dealership and try to negotiate.

Check out www.fightingchance.com. I've used their method and have been pretty happy.

Check out .... I've used their method and have been pretty happy.
I'm not convinced the information they provide is worth $5, much less $40+ that they're asking for.
I think I used a similar method to their "fax/email attack" a while ago.
This is what I used: The Art of the Deal [Fool.com: Buying a Car]
(older article, but still the method I'll use - although I'll do more by email this time.)

That's fine. I found it worth the $40, as they also give you detailed research on the vehicle you're looking at, as well as price comparisons of other people who have bought similar vehicles. You can also call them directly to ask questions and advice - they're very thorough and helpful, in my opinion. It's certainly not earth-shattering information, but for someone like me who hates to negotiate, it was great having an actual script given to me that I could follow for phone conversations.
