Dealer "cost" for $100 deductable lifetime maximum care was $2850 or close to that. I grabbed a $200 plan for $2700. Was that a bad deal?
Are you sure you got a Mopar extended warranty and not a 3rd party (aftermarket) extended warranty? Last I knew Chrysler was not selling the lifetime max care for the hybrid- they would only go 8-yrs/125K miles maximum.

Just checked- Ziegler only lists 8y/125K max: Genuine Mopar Vehicle Protection Warranty - Save $$ Today, and while my dealer wouldn't price match Ziegler, he also said that lifetime maxcare was not available on hybrids. If you use Ziegler's website to get a price, use promo code "DAMON2" for the max discount off the price.

Did Chrysler have a change of heart on lifetime for the hybrids??

looks like the Mopar warranty was updated within the last week to offer lifetime. not sure how long this will last. If you call Ziegler directly they have it in their system, but again, we dont know how long this might last so buy it while you can.

I'm going to have to look into that. If Lifetime Maxcare will be available for the PacHy, I might bite for it. My dealer would not price match Ziegler on the 8yr/100K Maxcare plan, so I would think the same of the Maxcare. I'll have to give Ziegler a call and see what they are offering.

One dealer told me that Pachy lifetime warranty is ONLY AVAILABLE at the time of buying the car and cannot be purchased after. Is this correct? thanks
Incorrect for the gas model - warranty can be purchased later. Hydrid warranty is an ambiguous status pending clarity from Chrysler hq. dealer is likely trying to pull a fast one using pressure tactic at sale ( imagine that, lol).

I tried to get a quote from Ziegler. It did provide a lifetime Maxcare: $200 dedutable - $2750, $100 - $3030, $0 - $4860. And $200 off with the promo code. The way I did it was choose 8 year / 125k, then go to next. At the end, the Lifetime offer will be available.

I just went in and tried again- Lifetime is now a selectable option as it was before with the pricing you have posted. I guess Chrysler decided to offer the Lifetime Maxcare after all. :smile2:

Did you see this from Chrysler Cares? The lifetime only covers half the car!

Hi everyone!

I have some additional information for you. We are in the process of updating our Mopar Vehicle Protection (MVP) Plan provisions to include the Pacifica Hybrid. These changes will apply to everyone who has or will purchase a MVP Plan and we will be generating new provision pages to send out to customers who have already purchased so they have the most updated information. Here are the components of the Pacifica Hybrids that are not covered under any MVP Plan:

" 1) High voltage battery is not covered at any time (regardless of cause of failure)
2) Repairs or replacement to components covered by the Hybrid System Limited Warranty (refer to Warranty booklet for details)"
@ground_gainer can you PM our page with your VIN and contact information? When we have the new plan provisions finalized I'd like to ensure we get you a copy as soon as possible!

The battery isn't covered regardless of cause of failure? I've read that batteries for hybrids can cost thousands of dollars to replace. Dealbreaker.
The battery is covered under the base warranty for 10yrs/150k miles (ZEV states) or 10yrs/100k miles (non-ZEV states). You can't get lifetime coverage on the battery (which makes sense), and the shorter extended warranties are shorter than the base warranty.

The hybrid system limited warranty is the same as the battery warranty. Per the window sticker, "Ask Dealer for a copy of the limited warranties or see your owner's manual for details."

So, one of you hybrid owners needs to get a copy of the "Hybrid System Limited Warranty" and see whats covered. Items covered are excluded from the lifetime warranty, as is the battery.
