I had a longer postvbut guess i deleted Bottom line question was: can the pacifica hybrid be put in storage 6 months of the year(snowbird). Any special precautions needed?

section titled "Storing the vehicle"
The only hybrid-specific part I see there is instructions to plug in the vehicle when not using it whenever possible.
Other items seem same as what I'd expect or a non-hybrid (disconnect 12V battery, slightly over-inflate tires, talcum powder for windshield wipers, use wax to protect paint)
This info is quoted from the manual is correct but my interpretation is this.
For short term storage (IMO around a month) leave plugged in when ever possible and let the computers manage the vehicle. The car will wake in 21days and recharge the 12v battery for you.
For longer storage you need to prep the vehicle more like a gas model by diconnecting the 12v battery and pump up the tires and talcum the wipers, wax the paint, etc.. like stated.
I suggest disconnect the 12v with the HV battery at 40-50% vehicle charge to minimize lithium cell aging which occurs from sitting at full charge or discharged states (Same reason all electronics you buy with li-Ion batteries come with a low charge out of the box). Lithium cells self dicharge the slowest of all present battery materials (3% a month) and will be good for 6months to a year.
Then connect the 12v battery to a battery storage charger like a battery tender with float charge to manage the 12v battery over your 6 months away. A disconnected 12v battery in storage or even a new one on a store shelf must be recharged every 3 months due to self discharge or it will be damaged permanently. This is especially true for stores selling batterys and a good one has a plan in place for slow moving inventory. (Or they're selling bad batteries). If you follow this both your batteries will not suffer and remain like new.
Cheers.
