I'm pretty much sold on a Pacifica, but I'd like to try one out for awhile first. I'll be vacationing in Providence Rhode Island soon and I'm trying to find out which companies rent the Pacifica. The websites I've tried all seem to say "Town And Country Or Similar". Has anyone rented a Pacifica and who did you rent it from?

Thanks

Smart. You're going to want one! :grin2:
Renting a T&C with Stow-n-Go and traveling cross country in it two years ago at Christmas probably laid the ground work for the Pacifica we have now. When the seats are up you can cram a lot of Christmas presents in those Stow-n-Go wells. Also a good place to store the space-saver spare if you decide to buy the vacuum option. Love the Uconnect ability to rewind/replay songs too.

I'm doing the same thing - renting from Enterprise before we buy. There happens to be an enterprise rental at a local chrysler dealer here in lancaster, pa area

I would have thought more dealers would have a rent before you buy option. With cars costing so much these days, it makes sense to pay a few hundred before you buy rather than just driving it around the block

Back in march I reserved a town and country through national, which ended up not being there so they grabbed a Pacifica from there competitor ( budget or Alamo) as this was at an airport and I guess this practice is rather common. At first I was concerned, at the time I didn't know they remade the name and automatically thought of the old suv style. Up to that point I never onced considered a mini van and loved my 4x4 pickups and S.U.V's. Then we drove that Pacifica to the Poconos in Pennsylvania from Buffalo and back. Even through a rather heavy ice storm along I-86 I was thoroughly impressed!!! After that we test drove a couple used T&C/GC and was not impressed at all. Fast forward to Now and there is a brand new touring L sitting in the drive way and it all started with a rental I thought I didn't' t even want! LOL

Having rented a town and country and a Toyota for extended periods of time the Pacifica is hands down better then both of these vans. Primarily because its so large that I can easily fit in any of the van seats (I am 6'4"), and the ease of folding all the seats flat which is something I do on a regular basis.

I can understand wanting to rent it though.

Alamo and National are owned by the same company.

I think the cars available are highly dependent on location.
My experience with rentals from neighborhood Enterprise locations is that they mostly have Town and Countries and Grand Caravans with an occasional Sedona.
Alamo at Seatac had only Grand Caravans.
I did get a Pacifica from Avis in downtown Seattle.

Plenty of rentals at numerous outlets. I like Enterprise for this purpose because they're local and very good at geting you the specific car you want rather than "or equivalent" .

I got back off of a cruise and was hoping to land a Pacifica or Ford transit but got stuck with an ugly Dodge Caravan. It is so far below the Pacifica in every category I can't imagine how they sold any. I think you'll love the Pacifica, as Iacocca used to say, "dive it you'll buy it". Renting is smart especially these days with as much coin that is required for a new vehicle.

First I came to Thailand in 2016. I`ve chosen a car in rental24h.com with navigation and of course insurance. Because you can set on the map where you need to get and in any moment you can also control your location.
I agree that if you visit foreign country by rented car, you don`t know driver habits.
But for what I had traveled to Thailand? To acquaint with their nature, mentality, habits. The best way to see that all – is to rent a car http://rental24h.com/ and drive wherever and stop whenever you want.

Have rented two minivans in the last 2 months from Avis and got Pacificas both times. After the last one, we decided to trade-in my wife's Audi Q5 for a Pacifica. Settled on one and going to the dealership tomorrow to seal the deal. This is kind of monumental as my wife swore off minivans several years ago. (She still misses her Durango R/T that she had before the Q5.)

Just curious. Which Pacifica trims are the rental companies carrying? Good luck on your new one.
