Do you know if we need a subscription for those streaming services apart from uConnect Access or does it work with the free options of those? When I try to open those apps, it directs me to the Store where it says I need a subscription.

I was told something different when talking to the already useless uconnect customer service. So i guess i should take it with a grain of salt. It was explained to me that you have to have a UConnect access account setup in order to link the apps to the car. The Subscription is different, it allows for the "keyfob" on the phone to work, the vehicle status updates, the bells and whistles if you will. The Via Mobile functionality will remain in tact even without a subscription.

I tested this theory in part with a friends GC. My wife has a UConnect Access account linked to her iPhone that has the Pac assigned to it. She can use the "key fob" on the phone and via mobile apps. I have a separate UConnect Access account linked to my iPhone that has no car assigned to it. I have via mobile apps working (no trial, no subscription). I can go into my friends GC and link to Bluetooth, turn his BT off so his phone doesnt take priority, and still access my via mobile apps through his stereo.

@SurfNC02, are you saying these streaming apps should work even without the UConnect Access subscription.
@rbrandon, I tried as per the instructions in your paste. Both iHeart Radio and Pandora are linked, but still on the Pacifica, it gives the same 'renew subscription' message. It's not opening the app.

@rajkumard , thats correct. at least thats how it was explained to me

@ChryslerCares , can you comment on this one?
Hi SurfNC02,

The Via Mobile app is available for the 2017 Pacificas (both gas and Hybrid) with the 8.4 touchscreen. It does require that you link the Via Mobile apps through your Mopar Owner Connect account. You can link up after registering for the one year trial of Uconnect Access. If you're still having trouble with it all working properly, please let me know!

@ChryslerCares, we actually wanted to know if the Via Mobile Apps will continue to work even after the UConnect Trial Access is expired or do we need to maintain the subscription for these apps to work.
The Via Mobile app should have a 5 year trial once it is activated--it is using the data plan from your cellphone carrier, so it does not require you to also have an active Uconnect Access subscription to maintain it.

It just ends after the 5 year trial period, there is no extension you can purchase.
