We pick up our new 17 Limited Friday - I am curious what thoughts are on the quietness of the ride.

I have "put up with" a constant (!) vibrating noise coming from the sunroof on the Q5 I am trading in. It wasn't like that when we purchased it, but there was a recall on the sunroof and it was never right after it came back from the dealership (and they tried to "fix" it three different times!). It's one of those noises that just aggravates and grinds on me. I am hoping and praying there are no such noises heard in the Pacifica!!!

Would love to hear feedback. Thanks in advance!

We own a 2013 Toyota Sienna which is a great vehicle, but there is no comparison with cabin noise to the Pacifica. The Pacifica is much quieter and don't need to turn up the radio nearly as loud and carrying out conversation on Bluetooth phone calls are quieter in the Pacifica at highway speeds. This is with a touring l plus, no sunroof.

The Chrysler folks put out a video claiming that the noise cancellation is based on the engine and exhaust sound. I'd tend to agree, as it doesn't seem to remove any wind noise. (I.e. Still some wind noise with gusts).

Enjoy your new vehicle!

The Pacifica is very quiet to me. I've had conversations with people sitting in the 3rd row with no issues. I have the 8 passenger, so it doesn't have the sunroof.

I'm coming from an '07 T&C, and the difference in noise level is astounding. I don't know if it's the active noise cancellation or just the improved aerodynamics, but there seems to be no need to raise your voice for communication between idle and 70. As long as the windows and sunroof are closed, of course; open there sunroof and you're in a convertible, with attendant pluses and minuses.

So we just did or first big road trip. On certain type roads, I will say that the Pac isn't anymore quiet than the Ody Elite we had, but not any louder either. But on the smoothest roads, the Pac is considerably quieter than the Ody. Like shockingly, luxury car quiet. I guess some roads, coarse concrete mostly, just can't be beaten by a big box!

I will say that the Pac is also rigid and solid which contributes to the luxury car feeling. Awesome!

We bought a sunroof wind shield from Weathertech for the Odyssey sunroof, and it made a HUGE difference. I'll likely do the same with the Pacifica. Doesn't look as nice, but certainly makes it a lot more pleasant to drive with the roof open.
