Greetings!

I've noticed a problem last night AND this morning. When exiting and locking the doors, the instrument cluster doesn't deilluminate. The light stays on. ****, it's on right now. I'm in the process of emailing my "sales" rep. Any one else experience this?

My drivers info display (DID) stays on for a little while after getting out and closing the door but if yours remains on an hour or all night that would be a pretty serious battery drain.

Even if you had your Engine Off Power Delay setting set to the max of 10 minutes that time should cancel when you open and close either front door and the DID should go out just a little while after that.

Stuck relay? Let us know what you learn in the service department.

Instrument Cluster Lights

I've seen this behavior too. It does not do this all the time but when I notice it on for more than a few minutes I will just unlock and re-lock the doors. I have already brought this attention to our service department and they say it is operating correctly. It is difficult to replicate but we will keep an eye on this.

Good deal. I hope that's the only warranty issue you'll ever have, pacificatouring! Mine has been great,

This just happened to us this evening when we got home from our long Vegas trip. Still on as I type. It always used to shutoff a few minutes after I lock the van. Unlocking and Locking does not fix it.

Finally back from service. They claim that a loose wire was the cause, but couldn't elaborate because the "tech" left for lunch. HMM. Regardless, I couldn't duplicate it after repair. I'll keep you all updated.
Any info on it being fixed now? If so, where exactly is this loose wire might be located so I can relay the info to our service rep?

And.... Battery drained this morning. Have a service appointment this Thurs to have it checked out. It seems like it thinks there's someone is sitting in the driver seat as the instrument display is prompting to press the brake + Start button to start the vehicle. Perhaps a sensor malfunction in the driver seat?

Perhaps it thinks someone is sitting there but for that to happen I would think it also needs to detect the presence of a Key FOB in the van too.

So after recharging the dead battery last night, it seems to be working properly now. The dash lights would shutoff within the minute of locking the vehicle. I'd go to try to open the doors without the fob key, the dash lights would come on and then shutoff which seems correct. Perhaps unplugging the battery fixed it? I'll still bring it in today to have them check things over. Really interested in the loose wire location fix mentioned above to give the technician some sort of lead.

just picked up my Pacifica Nov 1st.
on and off having this same problem. so far luckily I have noticed it before I went to bed so I have not killed the battery yet.
the first few times I just started and turned it off a few times and it went away.
now I cant get them off.
Read some where in a jeep forum that its the keyfob/seat sensor causing this .
any one out there get any answers from the dealer?
I called the dealer but I haven't had the time to bring it in.
I have been driving Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth products for thirty yrs I was hoping the phased out the goofy electrical issues guess not.LoL
love the van otherwise.
thanks.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your van and welcome you to the forum. Hopefully you get the electrical gremlins excised out of your Pacifica soon.

Hi ktmbumble--coongrats on your new Pacifica! If I can help you make an appointment at your dealership, please let me know. The better able we are to track any issues you're having with the vehicle, the better to solve them!

Thanks for having me.
I have been in contact with the dealer as soon as I get a chance I will bring it in.
until then I'm just making sure the lights are out before I go to bed.
hasn't done it since I posted.
Read few posts on one of the RAM forums after a google search looks like some people had software issues and some had wiring issues
In most case it seemed that the dealer got it worked out,
gonna cross my fingers.
