On the contrary, for me, anyway. I like my 2022 steering wheel much better than my 2021's. The 2021 was too thick.
They are the same size minus the metal ring.

Speaking of controls on the steering wheel.

The MOST annoying thing about Chrysler from my T&C to the two Pacificas I have owned is the freaking backward volume and channels switches on the back of the steering wheels. Volume on ALL radios for decades has been on the left and channel on the right. Even the current manual control knobs on the Pacificas are in the correct positions, but some engineer dufus at Chrysler can't seem to keep this concept on the steering wheel controls.
It might not be too hard to remove the steering wheel to retrofit it to work the way you want. It doesn’t bother me since I’ve never had a vehicle with the volume controls on the steering wheel anyway.
