Hello, all -- This forum has been very helpful over the last few weeks as I've considered purchasing a Limited. Now that the Memorial Day sales are on, I've begun shopping between dealerships (I'm in Virginia). I'd be grateful for your reactions to the offer below. Thank you!

Suggested Retail - 49,775
Market Value - 44,899
Factory Incentives - 2,500
Vehicle Price - 42,399
Destination Charge - 1,095
Subtotal - 43,494
License/Registration - 65.50
Processing Fee - 599
State Sales Tax - 1908.07
TOTAL - 46,066.57

Well you are getting just shy of 15% off msrp which is a great starting point but you coul probably do a bit better. For reference I got about 18% off. Also I'd have to look but that destination charge seems really high. The processing fee is also about $250-300 higher than I've normally ever seen. I paid $250 for my doc and processing fees.

Take a look around this forum for some other experiences. Saving >10K quite achievable for a Limited that is in stock. Also make sure to add in the Sams club for an extra 1K off.
In addition, 600 for processing sounds a little steep. 250-300 is a little more reasonable.
Finances are a person matter, so not trying to sway you away from your deal, do what makes you comfortable. But if you are looking to save a few $$, it might be worth exploring additional options if searching for an in stock Limited. Many posts on this forum showing what is possible.

Good luck, fun vehicle!

Is that usually negotiable?
Destination charges are usually fixed, depending on distance from the car factory. Suppose you could think of it as negotiable as part of the final purchase price, but assume it will be written up on the invoice as a fix price.
The processing fee however ought to be negotiable. The finance dept at that dealership must be doing very well at those rates.

Hi, all - Just circling back to thank you all very much for the feedback. I have a new Limited in my driveway as of this evening. I ended up going with a different dealer, and was out the door (before Mopar) for $42,300. My dealership experience was excellent - for anyone looking in the northern Virginia area, I'm happy to send details via a private message (as well as a note on one dealership to avoid). Happy driving!
