Hi,
I just bought my first brand new vehicle last night. It is a Velvet Red with Alloy interior Limited fully loaded except for the additional safety package which I wanted but did not want to wait for a custom order. My whole family says Chryslers are unreliable and tried to talk me out of it. I owned a Lincoln MKT 2010 and it was a great vehicle but my three kids are getting bigger and I found the third row seat too small to really work for us anymore. I went in search of minivans for the family friendly aspect (although told myself I would never buy one). I test drove Honda Odessy, Toyota Sienna, Kia Sedona, and the Chrysler Pacifica....Hands down I was in love. The only problem is the Hubby liked the Sedona for the huge warranty 10 year/100,000. We compromised and I got the pacifica but we purchased an extended warranty in case it turns out to be a hot mess. I wish chrysler would not have such a bad reputation because I think this new model is fantastic!

Welcome to the forum. First year models are especially scary. I've had 4 prior minivans. The 2001 Chrysler Grand Voyager was just as reliable as the two Toyotas minivans and more reliable than the Mazda MPV. However, my Pacifica IS in the shop today. :)

Welcome! I would love to see the Red with Alloy interior. That sounds like a great combo!

Welcome, we've had ours for about six weeks now, and just love the ride, comfort and high end features and appointments. We've had a few Cadillacs and Lincolns in our time, but we've never been more pleased than with our Pacifica.

Reliability is a concern as this is officially a new model, however a lot of the drivetrain is carry over and has been on other chryslers for a while now. I was sold on it when I had a family bring in their van to our shop with over 180k miles on the odometer and the only issues were need for a new radiator and a coolant y pipe. It is an '08, so it's a bit of a different animal than the Pacifica, but it shows they can bolt them together okay.

All of the Chrysler minivans I've had/have are extremely reliable. we have '05, '03 and '10They domino down. I get the new one, hubby gets the second oldest and the kids get the oldest. Good system! Although this time I'm trading in my 2010 T&C.
