So out of nowhere my Pacifica only recognizes the key fobs to start the van while in it. I walk up to the van and grab either the passenger or driver handle and nothing! It won't unlock. It also won't lock if I press the button on the door handle. I have 3 key fobs and none of them are being recognized other than when sitting in the driver seat to start the vehicle. I actually have to pull the fob out of my pocket and press unlock or lock on the fob itself! When holding my infant that is a hassle haha.

Hi pacifica1. Welcome to the forum! Since the issue is affecting all of your fobs, it's likely an issue with the RF receiver or antenna. I think you'll need to bring it in to the dealer to have it checked out.

Have you checked if someone didn't accidentally disable "passive entry".

Go into Settings>Doors and Locks (or something like that). Verify that "Passive Entry" is enabled. Hopefully it is as easy as that.

Hi pacifica1,

Sorry to hear about this! I would recommend following dmann33's advice and checking that 'passive entry' mode is enabled. Otherwise, I would recommend visiting your local dealership for further diagnosis. I'd be happy to follow up with them for you if needed, just PM our page with your VIN and let me know!

Yeah I checked in the system settings and it has a check in the box. I have an appointment with the dealer on the 13th. They are also looking at my rear door, it no longer beeps when opening or closing.

Did you double check the liftgate chime setting in the menu as well? I like having the chime turned on, but I wish it wasn't quite as obnoxiously loud.

My key fobs now only work within a few feet of the car. Have had it three days. Seems to be deteriorating by the day. I imagine it is the antenna issue someone has suggested. I will visit the dealership soon to address this issue and the remote start climate control issue soon and will post results and diagnosis.
