I just picked up my Pacifica hybrid from the dealer and received two keys- one regular and one key sense. Threads for the gas version including keysense indicated three keys were standard-two regular and one key sense. How many keys are hybrid owners receiving upon pickup?
On a related note, how can keysense be totally disabled? It's annoying and I don't need it.
I also only got two - one key sense and one regular. The salesman at the dealership (Alhambra) swears he gave me three keys however, but he is not correct.
I think I'm going to have to follow up with chrysler directly to get my third key since Alhambra has stopped returning my calls/emails about it!
There is another thread we've engaged on related to only receiving two keys upon delivery, you should receive 2 standard key FOBs and 1 KeySense FOB if that feature is included on your vehicle. If you would like to PM our page with your VIN, contact information and dealership's name I'd be happy to escalate your case to a team who will be best able to further assist you.
As far as disabling keysense... as long as that key is not in the car it should stay disabled. Other than that I have not played with it.
I am assuming you want it disabled so you can use it as a regular key until you get your second regular key.
Regarding keysense, yes I am wondering about disabling it to use as normal key. I played with the settings yesterday and referred to the owners manual- it appears the max speed can be adjusted between 90-110km/hr (65-85 mph) but I see no way to turn off the max speed. If this is the case then I have no need for the keysense key because I will not have teenagers in the lifetime of this vehicle. It would be nice if it could just be a second (or third) key.
Wait, only one with keysense? That seems kind of dumb. For a family van, you could consider two people needing keys, so one driver can leave keys in pocket and drive, while the other has to take it out to drive the car? Or am I misunderstanding what keysense is?
Misunderstanding. All keys can stay in your pocket or purse. Keysense limits speed and volume mainly if you were giving it to a teen or nanny for example just when that key is in the car.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
