my passenger side front parking light no longer turns on in any mode. Driver side works fine.

If the led strip truly went out that would be a crying shame and a knock on their longevity. Since the whole strip went out, I'm assuming it's the control module.

Anyone else have this issue? I saw the post where someone's led parking light strip flashed. No clue if mine initially did that or not. I have the extended warranty so I'm sure this would be covered but still... This shouldn't go out on a vehicle with 43,000 miles on it that cost me over $44k!

Update: I got a reply from my dealer stating that the Max are warranty I purchased does not cover the headlight housing for which needs to be replaced because that's the only way to replace the LED light strip that went out.

WTF?

So now I get to drive a 3 year old can with a very noticeable light strip out. That's a great way to say, "don't buy a Pacifica I've got issues.

Seriously though. Why is this not covered in something called, MaxCare warranty?

@ChryslerCares do you have anything on this? Thank you if you do.

Did you buy your Pacifica at CarMax? They sell the only MaxCare warranty I've heard of. If so, your issue is with them, not Chrysler.

Yeah that's not true. I bought it straight from a Chrysler dealership. 6/60 MaxCare warranty.

According to this link the DRL module is covered (labeled as "Module, daytime running lights" in the covered item list), but the nothing about LEDs or headlamps is listed.

The official Mopar documentation for the Maximum Care plan explicitly states on page 3 that "Glass, Plastic Lenses and Light Bulbs" aren't covered. I think one could argue that the LED strip technically doesn't fit the description of any of those items.

Okay. Chrysler calls it Maximum Care, CarMax calls theirs MaxCare, which is their trade name.

I agree, LEDs are not "light bulbs". You should call the Mopar warranty number on this and get it clarified. Under normal use and no damage, they should last the life of the vehicle.

Thanks to both of you. Yes I would argue that I'm not asking then to replace any bulb including the led. It's most likely the led power module that sits on the headlight housing (because why not) that went bad.

I will call Chrysler cares Saturday if possible or Monday.

Side note: to make matters worse my Michelin tires needed to be replaced at 45,000 MI so I replaced them with Toyo tires from the dealership and they scratched the crap out of two of my rims.

We had a similar situation happen with our Honda Pilot. The dealership took care of us and had the two scratched wheels refinished. We lucked out because they were OEM Honda wheels that their techs had just taken from the parts department and brought them over to service to mount and balance some new tires on the new wheels. I think that's the only reason they took care of the damage for us. You may have a bit more trouble proving that the damage happened while your new tires were being installed.

Although the scratch marks could be clear enough to show no dirt has gotten into the scratches. As long as you get back to the dealer ASAP. Or at least take pics.

I appreciate the reply Mark. The frustration is only stemming from the string of bad luck as I really do like the Pacifica over other vans including the new redesign Sienna (yuck).

That is how mine started and eventually it just goes out. The fine team at @ChryslerCares did help me come to a resolution that was fair for all parties involved. It is a gray area between what is covered under warranty and what is not. Given that yours is within 3 years (and hopefully 36,000 miles), it WOULD be covered. The extended warranty did not cover plastic lens or light bulbs. The LED strip is neither one of those but the power module sits on the bottom of the headlight assembly and is sold as one part hence the reason why it was a gray area. Through this, I discovered a whole bunch of these headlight assemblies for $100 give or take, and some even just sold the power module for under $100. Granted these are used by still, the LED lights should last well over 20,000 hours (probably more like 50,000).

I also discovered that the culprit could be moisture. Moisture might be creeping into the power modules causing them to malfunction and or not work at all. My guess is that FCA will want to take a look at my headlight assembly and any others they can find to see if this is a true defect and what is causing it. Whoever supplies the part will then be asked to make improvements.

Ours just went out and I have the lifetime warranty so I'm hoping it's covered.

Dealer said it was a loose connector and charged me $20 to fix it. The next week it went out again. I haven't bothered to get in there to see what's going on. I know I should take it back but not worth the hassle IMO.

I've since noticed several Pacificas on the streets with only one eyebrow, so it's clearly a common problem. And yes I know it turns off while the turn signal is on, so that's not the issue. Likely water intrusion as previously reported in this thread due to a design flaw. Next time I need to take the van in for service I'll point it out, as I don't want to deal with bringing it in just for this.

I have a 2017 Pacifica with 23K miles, and the Passenger side led strip in the headlight not working. We have a lifetime extended warranty, but the dealer said the headlight assembly (P/N: 68228946AH) is not covered under this warranty, do you know if this is true? Dealer wants $960 to replace the assembly.
Also, might the issue be related to the LED power module that sits on the headlight housing rather than a bad LED strip light in the headlight assembly, and if so, how can this issue be diagnosed, would there be a DTC fault present in an ODBC vehicle scan?

We also have the lifetime warranty, and the dealer said it's not covered, and want to charge $960 for replacement. Has anybody been able to get the replacement covered?
