Added a family member and with four kids now the Durango just was a pain to get kids in and out. It was a hard pill to swallow to trade her in for a van. I don't drive the Durango much as my wide does but when I do it was still fun with the Suspension package of the R/T and the V8. No AWD option was a bummer too.

However it is more practical for the fam so it was done. I'll have to add some mods when it arrives next week to man it up some :) I think i'll start with some bigger wheels ( 22's) custom intake and maybe some exhaust work. Not loud to be annoying but most V6's sound somewhat good so i'll open it up a tad.

The induction side would be nice. But opening up the exhaust isn't all that nice on these engines. I've heard enough of the goof balls with exhausts on their 300s around here to know that it's not a great sound. That v6 exhaust just doesn't do it for me. I'm not anti v6 performance exhaust, as I've been toying with the idea of opening up my S4 exhaust, but those have a nice raw crackle to them, the chryslers are more pissed off bees sound mixed with a little 4-banger fart can sound, so nah, I'll pass on the Pacifica exhaust mods. Maybe a blower or a turbo would be nice, but that's a lot to ask of the front wheels. Heck, the front tires will squeal now if I stomp on it hard enough, **** 235 tires. Add a set of 20x10" wide wheels with some nice 275-285 summer rubber, and then we'd be talking. Wider is better.... Alas, the mods will have to wait till next spring when I can better justify replacing brand new wheels and tires.

Their are ways to make exhaust sound good especially on a V6. I don't want to get too carried away with mods on this with forced induction since its the kid mover

I guess I'm one of the few that are enamored with the look of this vehicle "as-is" and unadorned.

I take that back, actually... I *DID* opt for a clear-bra for protection which technically is a "mod"... but not really for "looks". The other aftermarket "mod" I did DOES affect looks, but not in a major way: I had all the glass (except windshield, obviously) tinted... and THAT, to me, made a big aesthetic (and temperature) difference.

No desire to snap, bolt or adhere any external "parts" for decorative effect that may diminish aerodynamics and affect fuel economy. Right off the lot, I found this car to be attractive and have no regrets keeping it "stock". :)

I wouldn't mind adding a K&N air filter to add a lil growl when accelerating. Don't think they make one specifically for the 2017 Pacifica yet. Maybe it's the same size from the older model Pacificas or other Chrysler vehicles.

The Mopar air filter is still listed as coming soon on their parts page:

For performance upgrades, I would just stick in a k&n filter when it's available for our cars. Then to improve throttle response which thereby makes the car "feel" quicker due to the reduced lag that exists between foot to accelerator mashing, the electronics that control that to then feed info to the engine to start hauling a$$. Essentially that "feel" of instant power rather than lagged power will naturally make the far "feel" quicker even if the power output is still stock. I've reached out to pedalbox to see if they're looking to release their product for the Pacifica.

Ultimately the car is a family minivan. I don't need to have insane power. I just need it to respond when I want it to and go when I need it to. If I wanted power, I would just transplant a different engine into it.

Bump? Has anyone done any mods? I think this car could actually be pretty fun with some more power.

noting on the power end yet... but I started a mod thread here

Speaking of filters, I wonder if the K&N filter for the 200 3.6L will fit the Pacifica? Here is the product page

I've asked supercharging shops and etc and no go.
For mopars all they do is Chargers/Jeep/Challengers/300s...
All they tell me is we don't work on that platform bullcrap..lol

Gotta have to go to a shop to do a custom which won't be cheap..

If we did force induction, moderate bump to about 400 ish would be good.
The 9 speed can probably only handle about 100-150 HP/TQ figures more than what the Pacifica is rated at.

I wouldn't want to swap in another transmission and fudge all that computer and electronics up, but who knows..
Then its on to the half shafts and etc.

Chase the front wheels already break away under acceleration from a stop so more power and especially more torque will only cause more wheel spin and you are going to have to be very light footed until you are probably over 30mph.

Yeah, I may later on replace my wheels with 20 x 9 or 9.5 and try wider tires to remedy that.

I am used to peddling on acceleration even on 275s on my SRT8.
