Is it just me or did most of you on this forum purchase a Limited. I never thought that would be the more popular purchased trim level. I could never afford that... not with what I want (found cheaper on the Touring L Plus), but I am jealous of the optional rims!

The Limited does seem very popular. I think Chrysler intentionally drove a lot of people to the Limited by requiring it for things like memory seats, HID headlights, and the sunroof. I never considered any other trim, personally.

Don't write off the Limited as unaffordable just yet. A lot of dealers seem to be offering some crazy discounts. You may be able to find one that fits your budget if it's really what you want.

We looked at LP and limired and just found a limited we liked before an LP. We've been seeing more and more driving around recently and at daycare and it seems more than 50% are Limited, even though the dealerships around here have 15ish vans and only 1-2 are Limited. Most of the rest are LP and I've only seen 1 Base model.

I think it's a functional issue; we got a LTD because it was the only model that had the sunroof, together with a whole suite of features including auto-folding mirrors, a MUST if you have a standard 8' wide garage door

I think the sunroof was what made me go for the limited, among other things. No other comparable vehicle has that type of open feel to it . Lot of green hills in CA nowadays with all the rain and when the sun comes out and you take a drive, the sunroof feels totally worth it. Kids love it too.

I did it for the HID lights and memory seats and if I remember correctly the heated side view mirrors.

Just got a new Limited with the tech safety package and an 8 seater. I had a 2008 Town and Country Limited a few years ago and loved it. Not a cheap car but in reality buying it for my son's family a few years from now after I use it for about 5 years. Son has twin sons 3 years old now and will be about 8 by then. I had a **** of a time finding this vehicle. Found only one in the Phoenix area but could not make what I considered a good deal on it. None of the dealers would sell a Limited at Dealer Invoice with the options I wanted nor did they have one. So I went through the Costco program and got a great deal via the Costco dealer and actually got THE car moved from the one dealer that had the car I wanted. The 8 seater is a real good option in my opinion. After having 4 bucket seats in my old 2008 Limited, having a center console in the 2nd row is real handy. The tech safety package is a help for use mature drivers.

I got the same feeling too, but I think it might be related to some of the additional features that the Limited has that people may need some help with. I have a Touring L because I wanted the roof rack (which I couldn't get on a cheaper model). I would have liked a simple CD player, but I have adapted to using a USB stick (which actually works quite well with the 8.4 touchscreen for selecting music). Each family has to decide what is needed and affordable. It is a nice vehicle.

It might more popular among us crazy forum users, but I think overall the Limited is nowhere near as popular. My dealership said they sold a lot of Pacificas, but that I was the 1st to buy a Limited (bought on Black Friday).

The dealers around here have not seemed to have much of an inventory of Limiteds. Impossible to say how much of that is them ordering more of other trims vs Limiteds selling well.

I'll be shopping the lower level trims myself but it would certainly be nice to have some of those top end features like adaptive cruise.

There is one limited within 50 miles of me (that has about 5 FCA dealers). I finally got to see one in person, like finding utopia. I really love the brown interior... pure pleasure to look at... and black interior... all cars should have dark interior especially on the bottom half (kick panels). I desired memory seats with ventilation but that is about it. One of the reasons why the Sedona SX trim stood out so much to me.

Besides my budget of <$40,000 USD, it is the fact that the Limited does not come with the theater package and the Plus does. I know, kids DO have their own tablets, but it is SO MUCH EASIER to just pop in a dvd and hit play than to download all the movies they want, hope they work offline (not all do), and worry about them hitting a button that takes them out of the movie... leading to a bunch of whining that, "it is not working".

The touring L plus with the theater, advance safety, 18" tire/wheel, towing (need) and nav comes in around $37500-$37800 after rebates/incentives. The Limited with the same "stuff" comes in around $42,000-$43000... and the crazy deals... probably not applicable in my region given how little these are selling and the lack of inventory to motivate a dealer to give a crazy deal. Most around here stock the Touring L and basic Touring L Plus. Want a crazy deal? Local dealer has a Touring L for under $30,000. Look for yourself: Here This is the dealer I might be going through.

As for the sunroof, I am currently inquiring about getting one installed. I have always wanted one, finally got one on my Mazda (stock) and know that I will regret not having one. Even though I do not open it up a lot of the time, it is very nice to have.

Anyhow, I have only seen the Touring L and lower trims on the road... of the maybe 4 that I have seen since last summer.

Thanks for all the replies!

They all get heated mirrors. Limited gets turn signal, chrome caps and power mirrors with auto adjust for reverse.

I, for one, had a need for HID lights, heated/cooled seats, and the tech package; for the most part, would have been sufficient with the Touring L trim. Needless to say, wife needed the panoramic roof, and boom, up we went to the Limited.

It's semantics at this point, but isn't the initial intent of a "Limited" version supposed to be a short-run "specialty" version of something...? :) Something that is truly "limited" by a short production run with some things that are distinctive to ONLY that batch...?

Limited has become synonymous with fully-loaded... which really *IS* a misnomer but hey - who am I to complain, right...? When a trim level becomes your most-popular customer choice and is offered from day-one until the end of production, it's not really "limited", now is it...?

The trim "Limited" can be confusing as it is not always the highest trim level. The 300 base trim is called "Limited", Grand Cherokee "Limited" is the middle trim level while the Pacifica uses it as the top trim level.

I did notice that most posters are limited owners but there are around 1000 lurkers on here everyday so maybe there are others. Not many people have the rare LX package. Lol

I never cared about one before but it opens up the cabin so much.

At this point, these trim names just mean whatever the manufacturer arbitrarily decides. A Jeep Cherokee Sport is the lowest trim level, but a Ford Explorer Sport is a high trim level with a turbo!
