We've been ready to order a Limited but don't like the interior color choices of mocha or white. We want the black interior listed on p. 50 of the brochure, but I cannot get a response on whether or not it will be available. I know black/alloy is a choice and the mocha has black sides; I'm just wanting to know if black seats will be an option this model year since it appears so in the brochure.

Our 2 local dealers are non-responsive to multiple requests over the past 2 months, and when I've gone in and had the manager call their Chrysler rep on the spot the rep said he would get back with us and never did. I've tried posting on FCA and Chrysler's Facebook pages several times with no response. Very disheartening if this is the level of support I'm receiving when I'm trying to spend nearly $50k with them; I hate to see what I'll receive after.

Has anyone had a response to whether this is a color coming in the future or if it is meant to be part of the other two available choices? Normally (with other brands, not sure on Chysler) when it is meant to be a part of other choices it will have a half black / half other color picture.

Thanks!

We were in the same boat - did not really love the Mocha color... and were afraid of kids + alloy. The brochure does indeed show that Black is an option, however the Feature Availability list does not mention it as an option for the Limited. It only lists the current 2: Black / Alloy and Black / Deep Mocha. (see attached image)

We ended up picking the Alloy... and will try to be diligent with keeping it clean!!

We finally got confirmation today. 2nd call directly to the Chrysler phone number and got the Pacifica product specialist. He received an email today that showed that black leather will be available on the Limited in July or August.

Incidentally, the hands free comes on the limited after July 11th, that was another of our questions.

He couldn't answer our final question, whether the 8 seat option on the Limited removes the sunroof. The brochure shows this, but it doesn't say so online (we want 8 seat with sunroof and wheels, whatever that would cost); the rep confirmed that the information in brochure and online was too confusing to determine that answer.

Thanks for the info about the color, had not heard that before! It may have impacted our decision if we could have waited. We were able to get the Hands Free door/trunk when we placed our order.

From what I have read, you cannot have the "8th" seat AND the sunroof because the shoulder strap for the seat belt comes from the ceiling. So since you have a sunroof, there is no place for the shoulder strap.

I was informed that the Alloy Interior will pick up the dye color from jeans and clothes easily. I was also informed that it will clean up with a baby wipe pretty easily. We went with the Alloy because we thought the brighter interior would feel less cavernous.

We were also able to order the "Hands Free" when we placed our order in mid-June. Our build date is going to be after July 11th so maybe that is why it allowed us to order the vehicle with the automatic "delete / credit" for the hands free door opening feature.

That was my guess as to why it wasn't available. Thank you for the picture though, that confirms it. I still don't understand why can't just have a lap belt for that 8th seat, but I assume that is a gov't safety regulation now.

The light color leather will indeed pick up colors from clothing, but being leather, it cleans up just fine, no worries. I've had two lighter leather interiors on my past few vehicles and even after over 100k miles of seat time, the leather comes back good as new. We went with the lighter color in our Pacifica as well, definitely a nicer roomy feel to the interior with the lighter leather.

I think there's a protector you can get to coat the leather in so when it comes to situations like that, clean up is a breeze, or at least buys you time.

I've just ordered a Limited with black Nappa leather. I had two dealers confirm it possible - as shown in the brochure
e4gaa,
Can you tell me where those dealers were located and what there names are? I have been trying to order a limited with black interior in my area, and my dealers are still saying not available. They can't tell me when it will be available.

You may be working with a lazy or uninformed dealer.

Make then call Chrysler and ask.

I had to be almost an investigative reporter to get what I wanted. I did my homework and ended up telling dealers the exact date when production lines transitioned and when specific options and features would be made available for production.

Most dealers are just passive and not proactive when it comes to product knowledge and things like this.

I do not understand it because I am the industry leader when it comes to product knowledge.

If I was a car dealer or even a salesman, I would strive to be more informed than ANY of my competition. Product knowledge and informing buyers is key to sales success.

Most card dealers are pretty lame to be honest with you. Very few impress me.

The only dealer in my area I found comfortable doing business with was Sawyer Motors in Saugerties, NY.

I highly recommend this dealer for inquisitive, fact based, picky buyers like me.

I have been doing quite a bit of research for the last few months. This will be my 31st Chrysler minivan and even though I said my loaded 2014 Town and Country I would keep for a very long time, I couldn't resist the new Pacifica.....I think it was all of the technology, especially the adaptive cruise control and ac cooled seats.

I wanted a Limited as that is what the last 6 of my vans were, why step down..

I saw and drove several, kept several for a few days and I love the mocha seats, but hate the black carpet and side panels.....too dark for me and having 2 white dogs and all the stuff I carry.....then I looked at the Alloy interior, much lighter and don't feel all enclosed....but I don't like gray interiors.....most folks tell me it is like bone interior or a very very dark white, what ever that meant....So those are the two choices on the Limited.....

Now the interior I want is the one in the Touring L Plus.... Cognac/Alloy/Toffee and it is only in the Touring L Plus, not any other.....ok, but I can't get the sunroof nor the ac vented seats in a touring L Plus or I would take it......

I wanted that extra seat as I always have the back seats down, so atleast I could be a 5 passenger.....well can't get the extra 8 pass seating unless you delete the sunroof.

As for the vacuum delete, I would rather have that spare tire.

The shake your foot, open door option just started being built a couple of weeks ago.

COLORS....Chrysler still to date does not have two colors that they have in the brochure on the website...TUSK WHITE and the MOLTEN SILVER. I have called and called and 800-CHRYSLER doesn't care even though Molten Silver Pacificas have been hitting lots since 2 weeks ago and the Tusk White should be in my area this next week. Chrysler finally said they were painting these two colors starting in June, but yet when you go to build on Chrysler.com, they still won't list, which means you can't do a dealer search. What seance is that?

I am not happy with Chrysler, as far as keeping dealers informed and about their own website up to date.....still gonna order as soon as I decide colors.

Ok, so back on June 26th, you "4x4NA" stated that "My research shows that black interior is not an option on the LIMITED Model", have you now been able to confirm it's availability, since you claim to be an industry leader when it comes to product knowledge........

You clearly are assuming something here and your assumptions is not based on the facts. Maybe that is why you sound sarcastic and angry?

I never said I confirmed that black was available. I only stated that I confirmed the options that I wanted were available.

My statement had nothing to do with a black interior and does not mention a word about a black interior.

My statement is directly related to my personal experience with dealers over the years and specifically related to my experience while shopping for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica.

I had to do a bit of work to order a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica with the options that I wanted. There were a few options coming up as a "delete" when the dealer tried to price out the vehicle.

In addition, the dealers could not answer questions about the interior color and trim options shown in the brochure I was asking about.

I had to come up with the information regarding what I was interested in on my own in part through this forum and in part by requesting dealers call Chrysler to get answers.

Yes, I am in the automotive business to answer your question. I hope that clams your nerves and allows you to relax and have a nice day.

Thank you.
